Wishful thinking

Looking for a heart of petals...that doesn't exist.

That's what happens when reality bites...you live in a land of beautiful lies...

On prodding reality,

I realize it today,

you are sitting next to me

yet you'r a thousand miles away...

your hand I hold,

but virtually,

I wear this smile,

temporarily.

If you have nothing to say,

then can you just sing?

To help me feel,

A fake spring.

Where fancy is a bud,

and care is a rose,

to drench us in love,

a warm river flows,

where you are with me...

not miles away,

where our love resides with patience,

forever to stay.

Yes, very nice.. I envisioned our world of electronics where you sit on one side of the screen and love sits miles and miles away in front of another screen. Virtual love springs from the written or spoken words. It can and happen. It does lead to happy ever after. Rare but true.

I may very well be wrong in what you meant..

Frank- this poem was about a girl talking to this person in my head..:)

I agree with Melody, long distance love is extremely difficult to maintain or cope with. Howvere, presence of flesh and blood isn't a gurantee for the presence of true love..
