DCS, author of the science-fiction thriller 'Synarchy' series and owner of SVT Publishing sits down for a chat about her books, her inspiration and marketing her books in today's world.

Q: Hello, DCS, and welcome to BrooWaha. Thank you for taking the time to chat with us today. Would you briefly introduce yourself?

A: Thanks for having me! I’m the author of two titles, Synarchy Book 1: The Awakening and Synarchy Book 2: The Ascension. I’m also a radio show host, I have a show that airs every Saturday evening at 7pm CST on the Paranormal Soup Network called In The Mind of DCS. I also run a text based roleplay game based off the novels that allows players to interact with the characters from the book. It all keeps me very busy!

Q: I love your title…can you tell us why you chose it?

A: Synarchy means rule by secret government. To go more in depth, it was a term coined by a famous occultist who believed that ancient beings from the land of Shambalah had a hand in directing the affairs of governments on Earth. Considering the topic matter of Synarchy the name fit.

Q: You’re currently on virtual book tour with The Ascension, book two of the Synarchy books. Please tell us about book two and how it fits into the overall series.

A: Book 2 picks up right where I leave everyone hanging in Book 2. I delve deeper into the story behind the Terenzios, and what has motivated one half of the family to work with the books villains the Brotherhood. I also delve a lot deeper into the science fiction aspect of the book. You see a lot of the Anunnaki and the Archangels play a big role. The pace doesn’t slow, and Book 2 is really the climax of the story, the big throwdown where readers will find out what happens to the Terenzios. It doesn’t end the way you think it might, I will say that.

Q: What book on the market can it compare to? How is it different? What makes your book special?

A: You could loosely compare it to the Da Vinci Code, but Synarchy really is something unto itself. I’ve had several reviewers comment that they’ve never read anything like Synarchy before, and that’s what I think makes it so special. One reviewer actually wrote that it’s “better than science fiction”. Which just made my day.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your main and supporting characters?

A: I have quite a few characters in the Synarchy series. The main characters are the triplets, Vasco, Simone, and Lucien. In Book 1, they are unexpectedly given control of the family, and have to deal with a certain truth about themselves. In Book 2, they’ve come to terms with it and now are knee deep in putting together a plan that just might save the world. Some of my favorite support cast is a team of scientists, Derek, Shirley, and Abe, who are trying to make scientific sense out of a spiritual event that may take place on December 21st, 2012.

Q: Open the book to page 69. What is happening?

A: A flashback scene and a tear jerker. Marcello just surprised his wife, and is joining her on an afternoon excursion that doesn’t have a happy ending.

Q: Next comes the obvious question: where did you get your inspiration? What first pushed you to that point of ‘I have to write a book about this’?

A: When I sat down to write Book 1, it was a combination of my urge to finally take myself seriously as a writer and tell a story, and part of a very personal spiritual journey for me. I wanted to include elements of both, there was information I wanted to share with my readers, but in a means where it was comfortable to entertain such concepts. It’s my goal with all my novels to leave my readers highly entertained and a little bit more informed about certain subjects.

Q: What kind of research did you have to do during the writing process?

A: A ton of it. I’ve got folders full of information. I’m a stickler for the research. I’ve reasearched everything from hand to hand combat for some of my scenes, to the details on certain locations. Most of it about the metaphysical science and conspiracy theories I put in the book.

Q: How are you promoting your book thus far?

A: Any way I possibly can. Being on this Virtual Book Tour is very helpful. I also use Facebook and Twitter, and keep my blog page updated. And I’ve got my own radio show so I’m able to plug myself every Saturday night too.

Q: If you could give one book promotion tip to new authors, what would that be?

A: Facebook is a great, great tool.

Q: Looking at your website – – you aren’t shy about getting into all matter of subjects. Would you mind telling us about the topics you like talking about on your website and why you’re passionate about them?

A: That’s a loaded question! I love tackling controversial topics that’s for certain. But really my goal is practical spirituality, and self sustainability. We are living in amazing times where I believe we as a global society are finally really seeing the mess we’ve made of things, but it’s important not to panic. We can fix this, and that’s the deeper message. I want to make people aware of their own power to help everyone co-create something better without waiting for our political party or religious leaders.

Q: How do you see yourself in ten years?

A: Busy! Writing more books, running an entertainment company, all kinds of things. I’m pretty ambitious.

Q: What’s next for you?

A: More Books! I’ve got six planned for the series, maybe seven because there is a concept I introduced in book two regarding the history of the Angels and the Anunnaki and I think that would be a great story to tell.

Q: Where can people find out more about you and your books?

A: Head right on over to my main base at If you want to know more about the radio show visit If you want to learn more about the roleplay game and come RP with us visit

Q: Any final words for writers who dream of being published one day?

A: Learn everything, and then do it your way.
