What the Hell is AMPAS Smoking?

by D. E. Carson (writer), , February 26, 2007

Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth won the Oscar™ for Best Documentary. It seems that with such a win in this category, the name needs to be changed to “Crock-umentary”.

One could spend an entire article on the lies and misguided information and just plain wrong data contained in that movie, but the resulting article would actually be larger than this month’s issue of Vanity Fair! So for the sake of brevity, this article will be kept as succinct as possible.

There is not one shred of evidence in An Inconvenient Truth that proves conclusively the so-called “global warming” theory. The fact that Al Gore stood up and declared the debate “over” is as laughable as the notion that 9/11 was an inside job. The movie was written from the stand-point of one individual and is biased toward that one individual’s seriously misguided delusions and ignorance of the facts. Additionally the miscreant Al Gore has absolutely no formal education in climatology and therefore has no authority with which to “star” in this waste of celluloid. Gore is not an actor – although it would certainly be a switch to see a politician go from politics TO acting and not the other way around. Gore has no more authority to speak to the political issue of “global warming” than he has to say that he invented the Internet (which he later recanted that he never said he invented the Internet…so if he lied about saying that he invented the Internet, why in the hell should anyone believe him about “global warming”?)

One need only refer to the speech given before the United States Senate by James Inhofe of Oklahoma to see how completely uninformed is the former vice-president and his fearless band of idiots. Among the facts of Inhofe’s findings are articles published by Time magazine over the last several years. If one were to sort through Time archives between 1970 and 1979, one would find overwhelming evidence that during that time period, the world was on the brink of doom from an impending ice age. If one were to go back to the 1950’s one would find overwhelming evidence that the world was indeed on the verge of a second great flood caused by melting polar ice caps resulting from a “global warming”. Again in the 1920’s one would locate more compelling evidence of an impeding ice age – yet again!

Additional evidence points to a “warming period” occurring sometime between the 12th and 14th centuries, called the “Dark Age Warming Period.” This evidence rebukes the so-called “hockey stick” trend (which no doubt was invented by some hockey puck) that claims that man’s burning of fossil fuels has been the cause of our latest cycle of warm up. Just don’t try to sell the notion of “global warming” to the people of New York state who have been digging out from under several FEET of snow.

In reference to the other outright lies proposed in An Inconvenient Truth: polar bears are not on a decrease. In fact, government resources claim that polar bear populations are actually on the rise. The so-called shrinking north polar ice cap is not shrinking as rapidly as was once thought and in fact, glaciers in Greenland and on the Antarctic continent are growing. Additionally, federal emissions standards have decreased the amount of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere, but why isn’t anyone happy to see more carbon DIoxide? They should be. Oh, but wait, it is because Al Gore – inventor of the Internet – who says that Carbon Dioxide is just as harmful to the environment as carbon monoxide. (Make sure to hide that private jet you’ve been flying around in, there Mr. Vice-President!) It is Carbon DIoxide that plants use for food and with logging operations planting three trees for every one they cut down, there is more than enough foliage on this planet to compensate for the CO2, which by the way is a by product of a diesel engine, but God-forbid anyone want to drive one of those…

But as is typical of “Holly-weird” Gore’s crockumentary won the award for best documentary. It was up against a documentary about the war in Iraq – more truthful material was contained in ten seconds of this movie than Al Gore has ever said in his entire life. So, again, why did the movie win the award? Because Hollywood is full of misguided, misinformed miscreants whose job it is to entertain the public – not tell the public how to think or vote. Hollywood’s sole mission in life right now is to hate George W. Bush. Instead of succeeding at this, Hollywood has only showed itself to be a backward-thinking, stupid little sludge-factory incapable of producing anything possessing true character and out only for the almighty dollar.

Hollywood couldn’t tell the truth if you held a nuclear warhead over the Chinese Theatre. It deserves to fall under the spell of evil cast by An Inconvenient Truth and it deserves to suffer the same fate, which befell Sodom and Gomorrah.

Oh, wait, Hollywood doesn’t believe in Sodom and Gomorrah because Hollywood doesn’t believe in the Bible or God or Jesus either. Of course, the elephants outside the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood and Highland are reminiscent of a 1920’s depiction of Babylon – and lo, after all these years nothing has changed.

Your source for debunking Gore and every other major scientist! is the regressive and woefully misguided Inhofe? The hoax man? Humanity will wake from its reckless snooze whether you're on board or not, but your disinformation is not only jaw-dropping in its absurdity but also extraordinarily ignorant -- especially given the overwhelming scientific consensus. And your Holly-weird spew only reveals your bigotry. In case you missed it, last nights actor speeches seemed to all thank God - just maybe not the angry, judgmental one you subscribe to. Your point of view, thank God, is of the most ridiculous. And as such, I've already wasted too much cyber ink responding to it.

I must agree with El G. If you must attempt to censor me, at least have the cajones to publish your name... "Anonymity is the coward's cloak worn to truth's assassination." --anonymous
