The Mars Volta in L.A. in April

by Ariel (editor), Venice, CA, February 19, 2007

The Mars Volta, led by the hairy duo of Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (formerly from At The Drive In), are coming back to Los Angeles on April 3rd.
This show will be part of a short West Coast tour covering LA, Berkley (March 31st) and a couple of other cities in our sunny state of California.
The band is currently ending their Australian tour and will soon re-enter the studio to work on their next album.

The Mars Volta will be playing at The Orpheum Theatre, in Downtown. About 1000 fans of the psychedelic rock band will be able to get a seat there. That's not a lot so be sure to buy your ticket as soon as possible when they go on sale sometime this weekend. There should be more information about this on towards the end of the week.

The Mars Volta released their last album 'Amputechture' , a mix of progressive rock, latin and jazz influences, on September 12th 2006. Their previous albums De-loused in the Comatorium and Frances the Mute have been critically acclaimed.
