The newest Mexican drug cartel La Familia projects a Robin Hood image opposed to the sale of methamphetamine to Mexicans, and instead supports its export to the United States for consumption by Ameri

La Familia formed in the 1980s as a group of vigilantes with the purpose of bringing order to Michoacan (a central Mexican State)and to help and proctect the poor. La Familia emerged to the foreground in the 1990s as the Gulf Cartel's paramilitary group and trained with Los Zetas, The group splintered in 2006 into a group drug traffincking operation itself. have ties with the Sinaloa cartel.

La Familia a Faith based cartel is described as a pseudo evangelical cult and they may have  ties with devotees of the New Jerusalem religious movement. Nazario Moreno Gonzalez (A.K.A El Mas Loco, The Craziest One) has published his own bible basing his doctrine on John Eldredge a Christian writer. Moreno Gonzalez refer to their assassinations and beheadings as "divine justice" .

The gang has hung banners in towns saying they do not tolarate drug use or attacks on women or children, they run drug-rehabilitations centers, helping addicts to recover and then forcing them to work for the group. The Juarez Cartel started to burn out the drug-rehab centers in Juarez city as an effort to keep the control of the city.

La Familia operates methamphetamine superlabs in Mexico that produce up to 100 pounds of the drug in eight hours, and have presence in the United States from coast to coast with arrests announced thursday in 38 cities of more than 300 people tell us how deep the cartel is in our country.

La Familia is the fastest-growing cartel is a religious cult-like group that celebrates family values, the cartel has moved from smuggling and selling drugs  to a more big criminal organization it extorts "taxes" from business, pays for community projects, controls petty crime and settles local disputes in rural Michoacan. 

La Familia is also one of the most violent cartels who show no mercy for politician that reject their projects and attacks directly police stations.

Family values is more like another freak religious cult dealing with drugs and gaining power

Interesting.    It appears that Mexico is becoming the "new Columbia" and Columbia is revamping its image by running TV ads that show beautiful beaches, welcoming people accompanied by the message,  "Columbia,  it's not what you think it is".

Becoming Colombia Tony I think is already worst than Colombia, The Mexican drug cartels have an easy acces to fire power,  and easy way to build a net of distribuition  in the US,  with that adventage they already took over Central and South America markets and distribuiton points except for Colombia and of course they control all shipments to Europe, can we see a way out of this?, Phoenix Arizona is the world capital of kidnapping of people related to drug cartels

"almost impossible to stop" you are right Askcherlock, drug cartels are in total control of most of rural Mexico and keep on fighting in cities and ports.
