6 Things to Look at for a Great Shoe Fit

Ensure to avoid choosing shoes by the size marked on them but start with a size range and proceed from there.

When you’re buying a new pair of shoes, the first thing you must have in mind is comfort; if they fit well and you feel really good walking around in them, only then you could start thinking about fashion.

It’s true that it’s nice feeling to buy a high-end pair of shoes, but even if you look at a list with the world’s most expensive shoes you will see that they’re not only luxurious, but also extremely practical and comfy.

The right pair of shoes can put a smile on your face and today we’ve made a list with 6 things to look at when you’re picking your next shoes.

1.Shoe sizes from one brand to another
Shoes come in different styles and sizes from many different brands. That’s why shoe sizes are not standard. A size 6M from one brand might fit like a size 6N from another shoe brand. Ensure to avoid choosing shoes by the size marked on them but start with a size range and proceed from there.

2.Ensure you measure both feet every time you buy a pair of shoes
As you grow older, your feet will change in both size and shape. Some people may have one foot that is slightly longer and wider than the other, therefore, get both of your feet measured every time you purchase new shoes and make sure you fit the largest foot first, if one is longer and wider than the other.

3.Choose shoes that match the shape of your foot
Ensure you buy shoes that match the shape of your foot. Shoes that mismatch with the shape of your foot may harm your feet and make you feel uncomfortable.

4.When choosing, ensure you try on a variety of types and styles
Avoid choosing a style that appears too tight, too loose or that irritates parts of your foot. You can walk around in the shoes to establish how they feel. Check whether there is enough room at the balls of your feet. If shoes feel snugly or too loose from the start, your feet may hurt later.

5.Ensure the widest part of your foot fits comfortably into the widest part of the shoe
Matching your foot with the shoe allows shoes to bend where your feet flex, providing a more functional and more comfortable wearing experience.

6.Check that heels fit comfortable in the shoes
Avoid buying shoes too small so as to avoid heel slippage. If you find that your foot has excessive slippage in the heel of your shoe, try a different shoe, or request a shoe fitter to some minor adjustment.
