Hey Look It's A UFO!

by Steven Blake (writer), Winnetka, January 25, 2008

...Negative Ghost Rider the pattern is full!

So recently it seems that some sightings in Stephenville, Texas have caused a little stir. No one seems to know what they were, but one eye witness said the he could see two of our jets chasing after it. The military says they had nothing going on in the area, AT ALL-NOTHING. Okay well then, lets just chalk it up to a crazy unexplainable event. Now three days go by and the media is going crazy over it and the town is going alien crazy. Oh and the military comes out and says oh yeah we were having training with TEN F-16s in the area that night. How do you forget you have TEN F-16's in the area? And what? None of the pilots came out and said anything when the whole town went crazy and said it was us flying a training mission?

Now I am not a big conspiracy man, but does this remind you of anything? Phoenix Lights? Roswell? First there is complete denial by the government and then as the stories take shape they seem to come back and go oh yeah it was our weather balloon, our flairs, our F-16's. I have to actually pull the reins back on that and say wait a second...whoa. I mean really? They only come out and say something if it starts to build momentum like this one has.

Do I believe there are other intelligent life forms out there? I think anyone who does not would be naive. I mean there is supposedly billions upon billions other planets(and we are one of the younger planets) out there and we are the only intelligent life??? I don't think so. To me it is really funny, I think it only makes logical sense there has to be other life out there. Do we remember the Viking Missions? The ones where they thought they might have found life but dismissed it because there was no water on the planet so there was no way it was possible. Well?? We now know there is water on the planet.

It seems to me that it is at least possible that there could be other life forms out there. It also seems possible to me the government knows about it and is keeping it covered-up. For fear of mass hysteria or falling into enemy hands(that's the best logical sense I can come up with). Which at some point we as a nation will need to confront this possible cover-up. I believe we have come to a point in our evolution that we are realizing the world is not flat, we are not the center of the universe, and there are other forms of life out there.

Good article (Whitley Streiber has a cool website regarding sightings called www.unknowncountry.com) that goes into more detail about the recent sightings.

Thanks, I kind of have a geek thing for all of those websites.

Hey - this was on NPR yesterday. Worth listening to their take on it.  On similar nerdiness, please take a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_Y6L9-VmK8 ... apparently, there's a few MORE things we've not been clued in to...

Yeah I read about that. But my understanding is there is no chance to hit us. And the video was weird cause the 190o and whatever Tuskanee(mispelled?) actually entered the atmosphere and exploded slightly above the surface or that is the most accepted answer.

I was in Phoenix for the 20th anniversary of the Phoenix Lights - truly fascinating stuff and weird and how the hell can they say "oh, it's nothing" ?! yeah, I'm a bit of a geek for this stuff too

I'm reminded of the beginning of the original Galactica, expertly narrated by Patrick Macnee, "There are those here, who believe life began, out there...."

If you want to believe go watch X-Files! HAHAHA oh wait you already spent two months doing that.

I would agree with those and it is wrong to mess with your emotions. Maybe we should file a formal complaint explaining your sensitive side. I am really not certain what military action we could do besides cover it up. Besides I threw my war drums away years ago!

HAHAHAHA Jen you are so right on your first part! But your second part is lacking. While they obviously don't get "Cops" in space(cause they may never consider us a intelligent life form then),  the three most states with UFOs are California, Colorado, and Washington in America. But you do realize they are seen all over the world not just the egocentric America. Brazil is a huge hub also.

Is anyone else thinking about the Theory of evolution, weakest of the herd and all that. And who hasn't stayed away from areas where there are known speed traps? So it makes sense that staying away from heavily populated areas would allow for more permissable experimental visitations (and the reason why I prefer to stay a city dweller).

Joseph,

You're making it difficult for us aliens to meet anyone on this planet.  As it is, I've given up on L.A. lifeforms altogether.  They're from a lot farther out than I am!

Very good and plentiful ideas you've shaken up with this little article.  I also like pondering these things.  I cannot agree with the "naive if you don't believe" part or the "it's only logical" part, but I do like the pondering part.

In my mind, there might be other beings out there capable of speech, writing, technology - but even if there were, we would never reach them, nor they us.  That's because they wouldn't be "out there" in our universe, not in our dimension, not in our plane of existence.

MJ I understand what your saying...but the facts are there that the chances for life out there are better than not. Secondly our universe is only one and there millions upon millions of other universes out there. And as far as them ever reaching us it depends on how far advanced they have become. We are considered a young planet and we are just beginning space exploration. The possiblity of wormholes and other things are still big theories right now. remember we didn't even think we could fly at one point.
