Need a Visa? What type?

by Editor (editor), , June 07, 2017

Depending on your trip details, you might want to apply for one or another. That being said, let’s take a look at what the different types of Visas are.

You’ve been planning for this trip the entire year. Now, the opportunity is finally here and there’s only one thing missing before you can finally embark on an epic adventure by yourself or alongside your loved ones. So what’s missing? In many situations, the answer to that is the Visa. Many countries will require you to have a Visa if you want to enter their territory. Some don’t which is nice, but you might have your eyes set on one that definitely requires a Visa in order to grant you access. If you’re in the process of figuring out your Visa or just looking into ESTA VISA at www.estausavisa.net, make sure that you also know the differences between the different types of Visas which are available. Depending on your trip details, you might want to apply for one or another. That being said, let’s take a look at what the different types of Visas are.

Student Visa

If you’re going abroad to study, the student Visa is obviously the one for you. This Visa is specially made for students that want to experience their senior year in another university that isn’t on their own country’s property, for example. Maybe you’ve heard that abroad, the specific field you’re studying is far better studied and approach and therefore you want to see it with your own eyes. These all might require you to apply for a student Visa which will grant you access into that country for academic reasons. The amount of time that you’re allowed to stay in that country is therefore influenced by your academic record and the school program.

Resident Visa

This is for when you’ve had enough with your own country and start threatening all your friends that you’re moving into a new one. Resident Visas are given to those that are granted permission to work and live in that country. You basically become one of them and the Visa is the official documentation that proves it for you.

Business and Travel Visas

These two are different and depending on the circumstances of your trip, you might need one or the other. A business Visa will allow you to travel to this other country and conduct business there whereas the travel Visa will allow you to visit the country and see what it has to offer, The latter is also referred to as a Tourist Visa which speaks for itself pretty much. If your sole intent is to be a tourist in that country, then a tourist Visa is what you need to go after.

Work Visa

This one is also referred to as a Work Permit and it fulfills the role of official documentation which says that you’re allowed to work in that country. Even if you aren’t allowed to reside there, depending strictly on your work contract, the Visa will allow you to accomplish your job duties within that country.
