It plays an ideal role in the field of education thus changing the phase of education through innovative learning and teaching. Today’s generation comes to class armed with technical equipment whereas yesterday’s generations were equipped with textbooks and pen as their tools.

Learning and practicing via computers have been linked to higher education since several years.Well, all know that Virtual Learning is commonly termed as digital learning or e-learning. Now K-12 education has become a vital part of virtual learning world. Some of the benefits that educational institutions are expressing include distance learning, an opportunity to work with various learning management and researchers across the globe.

Impacts of virtual learning

Let's have a look at various impacts of virtual learning in K-12 classrooms. Beneath are some of the examples that would illustrate how students would learn at ease and in turn the challenges teachers would face in learning and adopting new phases of technologies.

Nowadays institutions are incorporating many social networking sites to their classroom instruction. These social networking sites are entirely set up for education purpose and they are designed keeping children in mind.Through these sites, students can easily collaborate outside the classroom. They can freely discuss various subject-oriented concepts like Math, science and any subjects that students hesitate to raise doubts in front of teachers.

Adaptive Learning

As we are aware adaptive learning makes use of computers as interactive learning devices. In simple terms, it can be said that computers adapt to the education materials according to the requirement of student needs. It is a personalized form of learning helping educators to identify the requirements of students and work vigorously to help them. It is one of the highly effective methods of learning.

Mobile Phones

The mobile phones in a classroom can be used in an effective manner. It can be used in real time by teachers to get various feedbacks or provide a solution to problems raised by students. Most of the students are using it as an exceptional tool to deliver learning. Nowadays schools are allowing a multifaceted learning experience and one of the instances is the implementation of a tablet in a classroom in a similar fashion where in several syllabus (CBSE)will be incorporated within the tablets.

Interactive Textbooks

Interactive Textbooks comprises of special features where one can edit and highlight within the document. It offers interactive content with audio and video clips, several other implementations that are required to supplement a lesson.
