There are limited ways on how to market and attract more traffic to your blog.

There are limited ways on how to market and attract more traffic to your blog. However, among the best and most effective strategies which can help bring your blog under the spotlight is none other than guest blogging or guest posting.

This popularity is because of many reasons and one of these is that guest blogging can potentially help you achieve different things simultaneously. What this means is that guest posting will be able to assist you in getting traffic, exposure, backlinks as well as brand awareness all at the same time.

But, you have to remember that not every guest post works since there are some things you should do and some you shouldn’t when it comes to guest blogging.

Dos of Guest Blogging and Posting

  • Do produce the best work you can.

Most people take this for granted but it is actually the number one most crucial aspect of guest blogging. Coming up with the best that you can is going to work wonders if you want your guest posts to get good results.

Always see to it that you put your best foot forward when writing your blog post. This can be in all types of format, whether text format, audio format or even video format. What matters is that it must have immense value in contributing to the target audience and the blog as a whole.

This is because the quality of guest posts are going to determine the amount of traffic you can get from them, so better guest posts mean more amazing results.

  • Do proofread every guest post.

Was there ever a time when you poured all your heart to a certain guest post which was really inspiring, practical and great only to have it rejected by the blog owner because there is no way that he can read the article? Yes, it is frustrating but if you will try to read your article again, you will be shocked to find that it does need lots of improvement as it is very poor. You might not even believe you wrote it yourself.

Guest blogging is not just about being able to write great posts. It is a must that you do proofread every post and improve the approval rate as well.

Don’ts of Guest Blogging and Posting

  • Don’t duplicate guest posts.

One big no-no in guest posting is submitting similar guest posts to various blogs. It doesn’t even matter if you changed the article’s title or tweak some parts. Guest posts must be as unique as you so make sure that you submit only original and quality content.

  • Don’t spam guest posts with links back to your own blog.

No one likes spam no matter what format it is presented. Bloggers hate them so you have to avoid spamming your guest posts by adding links to your own blog. It means that you just have to link the post to your blog if it is really relevant.
