It would be better for you take some time to refresh your mind before going to meditate. There are a lot of things that you can do to refresh your time. Well, it would be great if you spend a lot of your time on focusing on different things. I would suggest you to spend your time in garden instead of spending anywhere else. If you are from those people who love to spend their time in quite places then I would suggest you to prepare your mind for meditating over there.
2. Drink a lot of water
Try to drink at least 2 to 3 glass of water before going to meditate because water helps you to maintain the proper balance of your mind, so try to drink 2 glass of water daily before going to meditate. Water is an amazing element that provide people with a complete fresh mind. Well, I would suggest you to drink at least 2 to 3 big glass of water.

3. Do breathing exercises
Proper breathing is one of the best way to maintain freshness in you mind and proper breathing is also very important while meditating, so the exercise that I will discuss in the heading would be helpful for you while meditating and for refreshing your mind as well.
All you have to do is to sit straight on the ground, but make sure to keep you back and your head straight. A lot of people use their nose to breath while meditating and on the other hand, some people use their mouth to breath while meditating, but I would suggest you to use your nose as it helps more to concentrate than the mouth.
After sitting straight, now take a deep breath with your mouth and hold your breath for 3 seconds and then slowly release your breath, there is one thing that you have to make sure to keep breathing until you can and to keep releasing your breath until you can. It's a really good exercise that you can do.
Try to do this exercise on regular basis and I am sure that you will be able to manage your control on your breath in 3 to 4 days. I know you can.

You will always feel comfortable at a place where you love to spend your time. That place can be a park, a room or at the sea shore.
Some people love to meditate at the seashore while focusing on the sound of sea waves. Don't worry if you can't meditate at the seashore.
People who mostly focus on negative things always stay negative and negative things always happen with them and I am sure that you don't want to happen it with you. ;)
Everyone has his/her own opinion, so choose a perfect by yourself where you think you can meditate perfectly, but make sure the place you will choose to meditate should be free from noise. Always try to meditate at that place where you feel comfortable because that is the only place where you can concentrate properly.
5. Ignore negative things
Try to make your mind stay away from all the negative thoughts. For example, if something comes to your mind try to ignore it. Try to look at that thought in a positive manner.
If some of your bad friends come into your mind try to look at that friend in a positive manner and try to divert your attention from him/her towards a meaningless thing.
All you can do to stay away from negative thought is by focusing on a meaningless thing like a glass of water.
Try to count your each and every single breath that you take while meditating because it can also help you to maintain your focus.
