Series - We The People - Corporations VS America #29

Below is a crucial investigation on how the relationship between Bush Jr and Kenneth Lay of Enron impacted the US economy, US Energy Policy, US elections, etc.

Below is a crucial investigation by Leopold of Truth Out on how the relationship between Bush Jr and Kenneth Lay of Enron impacted the US economy, US Energy Policies, US elections, etc. Leopold's findings exemplify why the US Constitution has a system for the separation of powers with checks and balances to prevent conflicts of interest and abuse of power.

Conflicts of interest are often violated between the public and private sectors and within the government itself but since 2000/01 these conflicts and abuses of power have become the foundation for our government. The government is intended to serve the needs of We The People whereas private corporations serve shareholders and usually have greed as a bottomline, which hurts people and economies worldwide.

The Constitution calls for three branches of Government-Executive (President), Legislative(Congress-House of Reps and Senate), Judicial (US Supreme Court & lower Courts), each must abide by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, each must operate within parameters that are monitored by the other two branches. If abuse occurs in any branch or department of government it must be exposed and investigated so it doesn't become embedded in the system.

Since 2000/01 hundreds of whistleblowers across the political spectrum from every branch and department of government have exposed the White House's conflicts of interests, abuses of power, manipulation of reports and information, suppression of investigations, harassment of longtime employees, firing of whistleblowers, etc. But most of this news was censored by the media so many Congresspeople now find the news from the same independent sources used in this Series. When the corporate-owned media is controlled by the Executive anything can happen under the radar, as many Congresspeople and millions of Americans know--the Bush Admin controls the legislature, the judicial branch, the Justice Department, the Pentagon, the State Department, the National Security Agency, the CIA, the FBI, and our vote machines. Which is why the greatest fight for our democracy is occurring.

We The People have many lessons to learn to recreate a stronger democracy than ever before. It will also be a triumph of the human heart and spirit when We are able to outlaw corporations that don't relinguish their visions of greed to implement humanistic solutions for citizens of the US and world. Meanwhile humanistic and compassionate solutions are being implemented in a spectrum of fields by heroic individuals and not-for-profit foundations.

Leopold's investigative report is copied in full below, Leopold is a former Los Angeles Bureau Chief for Dow Jones Newswire, expert on energy policy and Calif's energy crisis, he's appeared on NPR, CNBC,etc.

5/29/06 "GEORGE W. BUSH and KENNETH LAY" Investigative Report By Jason Leopold of TruthOut http://truthout.org Article Below http://truthout.org/docs_2006/052906Z.shtml

"The Bush administration knew Enron was on a collision course two months before the high-flying energy company collapsed in a wave of accounting scandals that wiped out $60 billion in shareholder value and left thousands of company employees penniless.

It was August 15, 2001, when Enron lobbyist Pat Shortridge met with then-White House Economic Adviser Robert McNally, one day after Jeff Skilling made a stunning announcement that he was stepping down as president of Enron.

Shortridge confided in McNally that Enron was headed for a financial meltdown - one that could very well cripple the country's energy markets - and urged the White House economic adviser to alert President Bush about the company's financial problems so he could help put together a federal bailout, according to thousands of pages of documents about the meeting released by the government's Enron Task Force.

It certainly made sense for Enron to seek help from the White House. In August of 2001, Ken Lay was still known as "Kenny Boy" to President Bush, a nickname Bush bestowed upon him when the two men were up and comers in the Texas energy and political industries respectively.

When Bush announced his intention to run for president, Enron and its employees gave more than $1 million to Bush's 2000 election campaign, the Republican Party and the Bush Inaugural, and Bush aides used the Enron corporate jet during the post-election fracas in Florida.

With Thursday's guilty verdicts against Lay and Skilling on numerous counts of accounting fraud, conspiracy, and dozens of other charges, perhaps Enron should be remembered as - in addition to a symbol of greed - the first in what has become a long list of scandals that can be directly linked to the White House.

Back in 2002, White House spokeswoman Anne Womack pointed out that the McNally/Shortridge meeting was acknowledged by the White House on May 22, 2002, in documents released to reporters and Senator Joe Lieberman, D-Conn.

In those documents, it was noted that "Mr. McNally met with Mr. Shortridge and another individual who was not from Enron." Asked whether Enron's future had been discussed, Womack said, "If the meeting was about that, I would assume there wouldn't be anyone else there besides Mr. McNally and Mr. Shortridge."

To this day, no one knows exactly what happened after the meeting between Shortridge and McNally in the summer of 2001. President Bush has never answered questions about what he knew and when he knew it and whether he took steps to save the company's long-time employees from losing their savings.

One thing is for certain, however: once Enron's accounting machinations became public in October 2001, the Bush administration wasted no time in covering up its close ties with the energy company.

In late 2001, Alberto Gonzales, who at the time was Bush's chief counsel, refused to comment on the substance of the August 15, 2001, meeting between McNally and Shortridge in which McNally was tipped off to Enron's coming demise.

Gonzales said there was no known instance of Enron asking the White House for help prior to its bankruptcy proceedings. But according to Enron's December 2001 bankruptcy filing the company did just that.

According to those documents, Lay called Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill on October 28 to advise him that Enron was heading toward bankruptcy. The following day, Lay asked Commerce Secretary Don Evans for help in heading off a downgrading of Enron's credit rating by Wall Street credit rating agencies that would push the company into bankruptcy.

A week later, former Enron president Greg Whalley called then-Treasury Under Secretary Peter Fisher six to eight times, seeking help in getting banks to lend more money to Enron.

The White House also announced in January 2002 that Lawrence B. Lindsey, who headed Bush's National Economic Council, had directed a review in October - before the calls received by O'Neill and Evans - to see whether an Enron collapse could have a strong impact on the American economy. That admission prompted critics of the administration to sound several alarms.

As Jennifer Palmieri, a spokeswoman for the Democratic National Committee, said at the time, "It shows once again that the administration did a lot of thinking about the fact that the company was going to collapse but they did absolutely nothing to make sure that 50,000 Enron employees would not lose their life savings."

It also drew closer attention to the intensely close ties between Enron and the Bush administration. Lindsey had been a paid consultant for Enron, receiving $50,000 in 2000.

And he was just one of several top White House and Republican Party officials who have had close Enron ties, including Robert Zoellick, former United States trade representative, who sat on an Enron advisory board in 2000; Karl Rove, senior White House political strategist, who held more than 1,000 Enron shares before selling them in June 2001; and Marc Racicot, onetime chairman of the Republican National Committee, who worked as an Enron lobbyist last year.

When the White House finally complied with a subpoena in May of 2002 and released thousands of pages of documents about its contacts with Enron, it revealed that the company wielded enormous power and influence at the highest levels of government. One such document was a January 8, 2001, letter written to Bush's personnel director, Clay Johnson, recommending seven candidates to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Two of the candidates Lay recommended, Pat Wood and Nora Brownell, were appointed to FERC by Bush; Wood was appointed chairman.

When Wood left his post as chairman of FERC in 2005, Bush appointed Joseph Kelliher, a former policy adviser with the Department of Energy and a member of Vice President Cheney's energy task force, to head up FERC, the agency that controls the country's natural gas industry, hydroelectric projects, electric utilities, and oil pipelines and has played a critical role in the deregulation of those industries.

However, what's most troubling about Kelliher's appointment to head FERC, a role in which his main priority will now be to protect consumers from the manipulative tactics of the very industry he enjoys a cozy relationship with, is the relentless lobbying of bigwigs in the energy industry in early 2001, as a member of Vice President Dick Cheney's energy task force, to help write President Bush's National Energy Policy in a way that would be financially beneficial to energy corporations - at the expense of consumers.

The lengths to which Kelliher went to solicit key players in the energy industry to help write the National Energy Policy became apparent in 2003 when Judicial Watch, a bipartisan watchdog group that sued Vice President Dick Cheney to gain access to Cheney's list of industry insiders who participated in secret meetings with Cheney's energy task force, won a legal battle that forced the White House to release several hundred pages of task force related documents.

One such document, a March 10, 2001, email to energy lobbyist Dana Contratto, was damning - in it, Kelliher asked Contratto, if he were "King" or "Il Duce," "what would you include in a national energy policy, especially with respect to natural gas issues?"

On another occasion, Kelliher sought out Stephen Craig Sayle, an Enron lobbyist, to make similar recommendations. Sayle, former counsel for the House Commerce Committee, sent Kelliher Enron's "dream list," including a recommendation that the administration commit to market-based emissions trading, which was also used in administration's National Energy Policy.

Sayle wrote to Kelliher that "a multi-pollutant regulatory strategy should be estimated for the power generation sector including: Gradually phased in [mercury, nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide emissions] reductions; Reform/replacement of NSR; Use of market-based/emission trading programs; Inclusion of both existing and new plants and equal treatment for both. The last bullet is the critical one to ensure that: a) we encourage the new generation that is required b) we ensure that the new technologies developed through DOE programs can come into the market."

"Obviously, this is a dream list," Sayle said in the March 23, 2001, email he sent to Kelliher. "Not all will be done. But perhaps some of these ideas could be floated and adopted."

Sayle also provided Kelliher with a PowerPoint presentation on behalf of his other energy clients in the so-called Clean Power Group, a consortium made up of a handful of the country's biggest energy companies, including NiSource Inc., Calpine Corp., Trigen Energy Corp., and El Paso Corp, whose mission, according to the group's web site, is to "streamline requirements under the Clean Air Act for electric generating facilities while at the same time making major reductions in air emissions."

The PowerPoint presentation, "A Comprehensive Multi-Pollutant Emission Control Strategy for Power Generation," summarized the Clean Power Group's support of a "cap and trade" method in addressing emissions of mercury, nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide from power plants, but included a proposal for a voluntary cap on carbon dioxide. The Clean Power Group stood to benefit from the initiative it urged Kelliher to get the White House to adopt - the companies could release more emissions under its proposed plan than under the more restrictive rules the Clinton administration had put in place.

After receiving Sayle's email and supporting material, Kelliher recommended that President Bush "direct the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to propose multi-pollutant legislation that would establish a flexible, market-based program to significantly reduce and cap emissions; provide regulatory certainty to allow utilities to make modifications to their plants without fear of new litigation; provide market based incentives, such as emissions-trading credits to help achieve the required reductions," all of which was approved by the president and eventually incorporated into the National Energy Policy.

In fact, President Bush's "Clear Skies" initiative consists of many of the bullet points laid out months earlier in Sayle's email to Kelliher.

In addition to Kelliher's correspondence with Sayle, he also met with oil and gas industry lobbyists, who helped write executive orders that Kelliher passed on directly to the White House. Two months later, the president issued executive orders nearly identical to those Kelliher received from the lobbyists months earlier.

But perhaps the most egregious of crimes involving Enron and the Bush administration is how the White House turned a blind eye to the Enron's manipulation to the California electricity market, which ignited a crisis in 2000 that resulted in several days of rolling blackouts.

On May 29, 2001, when the energy crisis reached its peak, Governor Gray Davis met with Bush at the Century Plaza Hotel in West Los Angeles, and pleaded with him to enact much-needed price controls on electricity sold in the state, which had skyrocketed to more than $200 per megawatt-hour.

Davis asked Bush for federal assistance, such as imposing federally mandated price caps, to rein in soaring energy prices. But Bush refused, saying California legislators had designed an electricity market that left too many regulatory restrictions in place and that it was that which had caused electricity prices in the state to skyrocket.

It was up to the governor to fix the problem, Bush said, adding that the crisis had nothing to do with energy companies' manipulating the market.

But Bush's response, in hindsight, appeared to be part of a coordinated effort launched by Lay to have Davis shoulder the blame for the crisis, which ultimately led to an unprecedented recall of the governor and Republican-funded attack ads on Davis's handling of the energy crisis.

A couple of weeks before the Davis and Bush meeting, the PBS news program Frontline interviewed Cheney. Cheney was asked by a correspondent from Frontline whether energy companies were acting like a cartel and using manipulative tactics to cause electricity prices to spike in California.

"No," Cheney said. "The problem you had in California was caused by a combination of things - an unwise regulatory scheme, because they didn't really deregulate. Now they're trapped from unwise regulatory schemes, plus not having addressed the supply side of the issue. They've obviously created major problems for themselves and bankrupted PG&E in the process."

In April 2001, a month before the Frontline interview and Bush's meeting with Davis, Cheney, who chaired Bush's energy task force, met with Lay to discuss Bush's National Energy Policy.

Lay recommended some energy policy initiatives that would financially benefit his company, and gave Cheney a memo that included eight recommendations for the energy policy. Of the eight, seven were included in the energy policy's final draft. The energy policy was released in late May 2001, after the meeting between Bush and Davis, and after Cheney's Frontline interview.

What many people have failed to realize is that Davis was right in his assessment that energy companies, including Enron, were manipulating the state's wholesale power market. To this day, neither Cheney nor Bush has acknowledged that they got it wrong and that their inaction helped fuel the California energy crisis." (end)

BayNurse good question, in real democracies this isn't allowed, in fact the US electoral system is in violation of International Standards for democracies in most areas with conflicts of interests, vote machines, etc etc etc.

So I sit here on the other side of the philosophical gulf and wonder what these highly paid and presumably experienced minds in government must be thinking. After the Constitutional Convention Ben Franklin was asked what kind of government the delegates had given the public. Franklin replied, ”A republic, if you can keep it.” A republic is a representative form of government. It is a political system or form of government where people elect somebody to act as their agent, deputy, or delegate on behalf of them to exercise power for them. A Republic allows people to vote for somebody to represent them in a legislative body such as the Congress of the United States or the American President. Under common law, an agent had fiduciary duties to the one they are representing as it is a relationship of trust where the agent puts their principal’s interests ahead of their own. Blackwater is the further Republican led privatization of everything. It is another example of the outsourcing of war as under George W. Bush, war is the economy. Our American tax dollars have been illegally redirected into corporations and private companies with astoundingly lucrative contracts to them. Blackwater, started by ex-Navy Seal Erik Prince in 1996, employs at American tax dollar expense 20,000 hired guns out of the world’s largest military base. Blackwater pays its hired guns three to four times what the American soldier earns, with ten times the benefits the American soldier gets. Aside from that insult and slap in the face to the American soldier, it is the same to the American public as the actual escalation of troops is way beyond what the public was told it would be or even what they’re told it is. Which segues right into American Martial Law: Coming Soon To Your Town. Habeas corpus is a right our Constitution cribbed from the Magna Carta. Alexander Hamilton described it in the Federalist Papers as the greatest defense against “the favorite and most formidable instruments of tyranny.” The military Commissions Act was a blow to habeas corpus. Then came the John Warner Defense Authorization Act. The big print giveth the little print taketh. Tucked away in section 1076 is that our president can declare a public emergency and dispatch Federal troops (using Blackwater’s hired guns as the new Federal troops) to take over the National Guard and local police and sheriff departments (even though they are under the command of each state’s governor or county board) if he/she determines them unfit for maintaining order. Whatever happened to the idea that the Federal government should patrol the nation’s borders and let the states take care of their own business? Isn’t that why Congress repealed in 1878 the Insurrection Act? Don’t want those troops overstaying their welcome. No siree. Apparently some others are beginning to think troops quartered in our homes is just not that good an idea for a president who got us into one illegal war and now is threatening another one or two as Senator Leahy introduced Senate Bill 513 to repeal this odious section 1076. On September 19, 2006 he said “we certainly do not need to make it easier for presidents to declare martial law. Invoking the Insurrection Act and using the military for law enforcement activities goes against some of the central tenets of our democracy.” Amen to that.

Rose. Please tell me you actually paid attention in your High School civics class where they taught you that America is a REPUBLIC - not a democracy. In a democracy, the people vote on EVERYTHING - laws, judges, treaties, etc. In a Republic (which the United States is) the people vote to send an agent to the capital to take care of all of that for them. Our government is a REPUBLIC. Please stop calling it a democracy. Remember the Pledge of Allegiance: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." (emphasis added). Yes our agents (the president included) are elected via democratic means, but America is a REPUBLIC. This is why we have the Electoral College instead of a straight people vote for president. You commented on one of my pieces by referring to The San Francisco Chronicle. Am I to assume by what I've read in the comments that you work (covertly) for the Chronicle? Now let me ask you another question. If corporate America is so bad for America, then why are all of our major news outlets run by corporations? All Bill Clinton News is owned by Disney. Nothing But Clinton News is owned by General Electric. Clinton Broadcasting System News is owned by Viacom. Cowardly Clinton Network is owned by Time-Warner. Then there are our newspapers owned and operated by Scripps-Howard, The Tribune Company and others. These are ALL huge corporations and yet no one ever takes these companies to task for what they are putting out there as news. According to you all corporations are in the hip pocket of the Bush Administration. If this is true, then why are all of our major news outlets so sympathetic to Shrillary Rotten Clinton? Talk about blind leading the blind...

Commentators who care about America should read articles rather than attack what hundreds of whistleblowers across the political spectrum say. Why fixate on words, when deeper truths are missed? Oh well...experts often use the word democracy unless referring specifically to the electoral college. American Heritage Dictionary says democracy means "Government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives". Whereas "republic" means "1)any political order that is not a monarchy 2) a constitutional form of government." The International Election Monitors monitor democracies worldwide for international standards related to fair and transparent elections. They came to the US in 2004 due to what happened in 2000, they cited many violations, they found the US Election System is filled with Conflicts Of Interest, and that all the US nationwide electronic vote machines bought since 2002 violate standards for security and transparency, etc which is why California outlawed them.

Valerie Plame was no more a covert CIA operative than her husband was an ambassador to anything. I really have to know where you get your facts. If it's from such sources as the San Francisco Chronicle it's no wonder your information is flawed. Go look up an author by the name of Georges Sada and read his book. It will tell you first-hand about what happened to the WMDs. While Hussein was running his little dog and pony show to distract everyone's attention away from Saddam Hussein International Airport, converted commercial airliners were smuggling the WMDs out of Iraq and into Syria under the guise of humanitarian aid. Yeah, humanitarian aid from Saddam Hussein is like matzo balls from Hitler. If the press is so damned interested in getting the story straight, why haven't they looked into this? Oh, that's right, the so-called American Free Press is on the payroll of one George Soros. And rule number one of being a member of the George Soros Press Association is "Never print or say anything that might actually make President Bush look competent." Rule number two is "Print or say anything to make President Bush look incompetent -- even if you have to make it up." The only conspiracy to which I ever subscribed is the assassination of John F. Kennedy. But ever since then and Nixon with Watergate, the whole American press has been "Woodsteined" into believing that nothing from the government should be trusted. Ever since Oklahoma City and 9/11, the whole country is on this warpath that our government is trying to hide something. This has GOT to stop! A country where the people do not trust the government is not a country, it is anarchy and when anarchy rules, no one is safe. There was no government conspiracy behind 9/11. Logic dictates that it happened too soon after Bush took office to be otherwise -- unless Clinton planned it as a contingency in case Al "Sore Loser" Gore lost the election. Oklahoma City was labeled as a conspiracy to cover up Clinton and White Water -- but you never hear anything about that because Clinton was a Democrat. Waco was just a case of an exhausted Fearless Band of Idiots and a stupid attorney general with nothing better to do. Ruby Ridge was a case of a bunch of whiny anti-gun people getting all pissed off because someone was opting to exercise his second amendment rights. I could go on, but my point is that Clinton has enough blood on his hands to raise the USS Arizona and float it all the way from Pearl Harbor to San Diego and he earned every drop of it -- including the 3000 people who died on 9/11. And you're wrong about your definition of "democracy" and "republic". Go find a REAL dictionary - namely the Webster's Dictionary published in 1841. Yet most moderate and conservative Republicans are horrified by the Bush Admin. Meanwhile the moderates and liberals which are the majority of the country are angry with the Democratic Party because they didn't stand up in mass numbers to tell the truth about anything--Congressman Conyers Bill for impeachment only had 220+ Congresspeople supporting it, and many know about the ongoing nationwide stolen elections, and all the other Bush Admin crimes, there's such a massive amount of evidence it's heartbreaking, but the media is not controlled by the liberals, instead the activists showed their Congresspeople the evidence & documents and where to get independent news.

I had investigative reports, an interview, the Congressional Testimony ready for an article on Blackwater, but like many other subjects-- too much Bush Admin crime with too little time to publish it all. My Series is intended to give overviews of the basics, too much info on crimes and manipulations creates only fear & paralysis in people. If readers have independent news from respected investigative journalists please put it in Comments Sections for everyone. But please remember that mainstream liberal newspapers are still censoring and distorting most news knowingly and unknowingly much like other mainstream and rightwing news, occassionally they break a story but the details, context, and/or overview are often based on the myths and deceptions from White House lies. Other sources of liberal media are often interlaced with these same myths unless they've done specific research in the area. Examples- there's only a few investigative journalists who really know what's going on in Iraq, all other reporters stay in the safe zone guarded by the military and get their information from US Officials. Those who never personally investigated the evidence of nationwide stolen elections still believe the elections were stolen in just a few states, with only 1-2 methods. Those who haven't read the research by hundreds of scholars on 9/11 are still brainwashed by the mass deceptions. etc,etc Our main job is to get the independent news, evidence, investigations to the Congresspeople, many know but only some courageous enough to publically verbalize it, others in denial or too scared to tell the truth. But even the denial of the GOP Congress Members is wearing thin and some Members are showing their anger about the White House law breaking and abuses of Congress. Treason is defined as a violation of allegiance to one’s country, or by acting to overthrow government.  Synonyms for treason are disloyalty, treachery, dishonesty, sedition and disaffection.  Synonyms for violation are transgression, infraction, infringement, breach, misbehavior, contradiction, thwarting, counteraction, opposition, and contravention.  Synonyms for allegiance are faithfulness, loyalty, devotion, fidelity, constancy, duty, trust, trustworthiness, obligation, stability, and fealty.  Synonyms for government are bureaucracy and a system of administration.  The act of governing is managing, overseeing and supervising.  Synonyms for overthrow are destruction, upset, undermine, ruin, crush, displace, disperse, demolish, overturn, subvert, and abolish.

There is A Rise of Treason In America.

Donald Rumsfeld was a student of economist Milton Friedman and what was once know as The Chicago Boys but has come to be known as The Chicago Thugs.  Rumsfeld bet the future on plagues.  Richard “Dick” Cheney, was an early student of Donald Rumsfeld during the American President Ford’s administration.  As Secretary of Defense under American President George H.W. Bush, Cheney bet the future on war, and a private sector McMilitary.  Today Cheney’s treasonous bet is known as Blackwater and Haliburton.

On September 10, 2001, CNN Evening News had a story titled “Defense Secretary Declares War on the Pentagon’s Bureaucracy.”  That morning, then U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld had described Pentagon employees as enemies of America, the Pentagon as a grave threat to America and declared war on the Pentagon, the institution he had taken an oath of allegiance to.

The Pentagon’s staff, highly educated, trained and experienced in America’s national defense, had devoted their entire careers to defending America. The Pentagon’s staff had successfully defended America, most notably from the Communist Soviet Union.  They were now listening to the most extraordinary, and devastating to America, speech ever given by a U.S. Defense Secretary.  A speech that violated that U.S. Defense Secretary oath of allegiance to his office and his country.  Donald Rumsfeld had gone public with his treason and that he was a domestic terrorist with interests hostile to America and the U.S. government he was now paid to be an effective functioning part of.

Then U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was not looking to save American’s their tax dollars.  Nor was he looking to defend America.  Nor was he looking to do the job he was getting paid by American taxpayers to do, that being to govern.  He wasn’t even interested in his oath of allegiance.  Donald Rumsfeld violated his oath to obey and uphold the U.S. Constitution, which clearly defines America’s national security as the duty of the U.S. government.  Then treasonous U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, now an open domestic terrorist, ordered every U.S. Department of Defense and Pentagon department immediately slashed by 15 percent while demanding from the U.S. Congress an overall 11 percent Department of Defense budget increase.  He then unconstitutionally and treasonously privatized America’s national defense.

One of the then Pentagon employees described their, and the rest of the audiences, reaction to then U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s staff meeting speech that morning.  “He was saying we were the enemy, that the enemy was us.”

Then U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s unconstitutional and treasonous actions were lost in the shock and horror of America’s 9.11.  125 Pentagon employees were killed, 110 seriously injured.  That’s 235 patriotic Americans that 24 hours earlier, their boss and now traitor to America, Donald Rumsfeld, had maliciously branded as enemies of America.

Traitors Donald Rumsfeld, George W. Bush and Richard Cheney had all declared and made it clear they believed that the job of government, that they were being paid by Americans’ tax dollars to do, was no longer to govern.  The horrifying results were the evisceration of the American military, and the rise of a private police force.  That rise of a private police force is funded with American taxpayer’s dollars.  That unconstitutional private police force is the treasonous Blackwater, a for-profit multi-national corporation that believes it is not accountable to American taxpayers that fund them nor the American Congress nor any American laws, nor even other country’s laws.

Very significant article, it remains extremely potent today.

The most amphibious government to date is this constantly changing corporation, it leaves its citizens frequently confused as to its policies, prescribed duties, and its future agenda.

Excellent supposition, a summation based on public facts.
