While Lindsay Lohan has stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, she has been very difficult to work with in the past. When she guest-starred on the FX show "Anger Management," she allegedly delayed the production. One source at E! News said that she would repeatedly stall for time, hiding out in her trailer instead of shooting her scenes. They also said that she left the set to go to her boyfriend's concert. One crew member said that they felt as though they were being held hostage. Lohan also caused problems on the set of "Georgia Rules." One producer took out a public letter reprimanding Lohan for her poor behavior.
These days, Shia LaBeouf gets more attention for his off-screen antics than he does for his acting. He is known for his bizarre outbursts and regular fights with co-workers. Many of the actors who have worked with LaBeouf have had negative things to say about him. Like many talented actors, it is clear that LaBeouf is quite troubled.
While Gene Hackman has strong credentials -- he is an Oscar winner -- he isn't always easy to work with. Some of his "The Royal Tenenbaums" co-workers complained about his on-set behavior. During a Q&A session at a screening, cast and crew members recounted the many insulting comments that Hackman had made. He reportedly berated the film's director, Wes Anderson, and the screenwriter, Noah Baumbach.
Mike Myers is known for playing laid-back characters, but in real life, he is known for being a control freak. The woman who directed Wayne's World said that she was overwhelmed by his constant demands. She went so far as to hire her daughter to be his personal assistant. While Mike Myers may be jovial on the red carpet, his behaviour on set can be very intense.
Jared Leto may have gone too far when preparing for as role as The Joker in Suicide Squad. He went out of his way to antagonize his cast mates, deliberately alienating and offending them. He reportedly sent one cast member a dead pig, and sent others objects like sex toys and used condoms. In addition, he spent a great deal of time reading up on psychopathy and violent crime. One of his co-stars, Margot Robbie, said that she was genuinely afraid of him. Other co-stars, like Viola Davis, have also spoken negatively of Leto. It's clear that sometimes, method acting can go a little too far.
