In December of 1925 Babe Ruth did something that no other ball player at the time would do. He got himself a personal trainer. He joined Artie McGovern's gymnasium in New York City which catered to the wealthy, including world heavyweight champ Jack Dempsey. The Babe was only 30 years old and had the worse season of his career. We all know his story that he lived the high life and it caught up to him. He did something about it! He weighed in at 254 pounds with a program that lasted several weeks. At the end he lost 44 pounds and came back for the 1926 season a better conditioned athlete.
He did it without steroids or drugs.
The picture that you see here is Eugene Sandow who is a pioneer known as the modern body builder. That photo was taken in the 1920's. That's all natural without the need of steroids. You want more motivation? Look up and read about Earle Liederman who wrote several books on physical fitness. My personal favorite of his is 'Muscle Development' and 'The Secrets of Strength'. Both written in the 1920's and the word steroids wasn't used once. I don't think it existed back then. It's diet and exercise. The hard way. The right way. You will enjoy the benefit of the labor you put in developing the body that you desire.
There's too many fat little kids around who turn into fat adults with diabetic needles sticking out of their arms. Yes, I know it's harsh! But this is my tough love showing that I care. I don't like to see kids suffer and as much as I don't like people, I don't want adults having more issues than what they already have. Why add more?
So do I think that Hank Aaron's home run record was broken? NO! How about Babe Ruth's? NO! Even Roger Maris's? NO!
The record books remain the same as far as I'm concerned. Call me a hard head! I don't care and I'll be the first to tell those chumps that they cheated! I'll only run if they come at me with baseball bats. Other than than, I'll give them a fight. Just about every sport there seems to be an athlete who abuses their body with steroids. But the sport that comes to mind that serves no purpose in athletic ability is golf. There's no need to bulk up. But what do I know? Prove me wrong! That's a whole new topic anyways...
In high school there was a friend of mine who took steroids because he played football. Yes, he looked great with a body like a greek god. Do you know where he is now? He's dead! Plain and pure F'in simple!
Do you feel like losing your hair, having Severe mood swings, reduced sperm count, impotence, enlarged prostate, depression, and thoughts of suicide? The list goes on and so will the problems if you take steroids. Women use steroids more than ever and the side-effects are just as horrific. It's not a prejudice drug!
Success in sports take talent, skill, and PRACTICE! Taking steroids interferes with fair competition.
Here is where the road less traveled is used and it's difficult route. See if you can do this... Don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs, eat healthy, get pleny of rest, don't stay out late. HEALTH IS WEALTH!
Ask the former canadian heavyweight champ George Chuvalo (who fought Ali, and a countless of other top heavyweights of the time.) what the chumps way out is? He doesn't have a problem telling you. If you can't get a hold of him to get an answer... Don't worry, just contact me and I'll give you the answer!
