The motto of Heritage Business School has been to broaden student’s horizon and keeping that in mind they have regularly organized interaction between students and corporate visitors so that they can benefit from the experiences gathered from them. In the recent time, there have been various such interactions and here are a few moments from them.
Visitors at HBS
Most recently, Mr. Kushal Banerjee visited HBS As part of the Industry-Institute-Interface Program. He is the Academic Relationship Manager - (India - East) of Tata Consultancy Services. He had an Interaction with the students on 11th March 2016, a Friday and he spoke about “Needs in IT Industry”.
15th February 2016 was all about an Industry-Institute-Interface Program with Prof. Rahul Sett, Assistant Professor, International University of Japan, Tokyo. He discussed with the students about ‘Consumerisation In The Present Context As Opposed To The Conventional Approach’. Prof. Sett is a B.Tech degree holder and is a Fellow (Ph.D), IIM Ahmedabad. He is also the recipient of Nehru Fulbright Scholarship for Post Doctoral Research & was a Faculty of IIM Kozhikode.
Mr. Srijan Banerjee, who is the Deputy Manager, HR, Skipper Limited, interacted with the students on 12th February 2016. During the interaction, he enumerated on the changing face of HRD Professionals in the Industry

There were also delegates from Cardiff Business School, Mr. Roopen Roy, MD, Deloitte Haskins, Mr. Kaushik Banerjee, VP Citi Investment, Hong Kong, and others. They shared stories about their early and professional lives and shared valuable advice to the students on ways to succeed in life.
Moreover, a seminar by UK Law Mission was conducted inside the Heritage Business School campus on 22nd January 2016. The seminar Comprised of 6 Law Faculty Members from the British Council and various UK Universities. The attendees at the seminar comprised of the faculty along with the students of the institute. After the seminar some deliberations were conducted between the management and heads of the institutes who come under the wing of the Heritage Group.
One interesting Industry Institute Interface was conducted by the Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. While not a corporate venture strictly speaking, the opportunities and annual CTC cited by them was Rs 10 Lakh per Annum plus perquisites applicable to the armed forces which are extremely lucrative. The interaction and discussion was very constructive and the students learned about many unknown facts and got inspired to join the armed forces.
The Regional Manager of Life Insurance Corporation of India interacted with the students on 29th January 2016. The audiences were business students who garnered valuable suggestions on effectively managing a huge entity like LIC that keeps thousands of in house employees, agents and other staff on its payrolls and under its supervision. This particular interaction was really informative and interesting for the students.
The corporate interactions are endeavors of Heritage Business School for enhancing the managerial skills of the students so as to make them diligent and enterprising managers of future great business propositions.
