I want the reader to use my poetry in a positive way to improve their lives and better themselves as human beings from the things that I learn and experience through my own life.At the beginning of the book,I dedicate my work to a special friend of mine by the name of Raymond Broadnax. He has been my childhood barber for a long time(15 years).Late last year,I started showing him my poetry. He was amazed by the way that I write that he asked me to help him out with his poems. It was his confidence and support in my talent that made the book possible.

Excerpt from The Write House

"Different Colors,Same Taste"

The world is like a big box of ice cream.
It consist of flavors to satisfy anyone's taste.
Each of them is sweet and special.
They should not go to waste.
My heart is a bowl fill with acceptance.
Loving each flavor that comes in it.
If you combine all of them into one.
You'll get a rainbow of the human spirit.
Chocolate is the flavor that I'm proud of.
No need to put sprinkles or whip cream on me.
Everyone is suppose to love one another without hatred.
The way that it is meant to be.
At the end of the day,we are all flavors of unity.
One should not discriminate over the other.
In the mirror we see the same reflection.
As being true sisters and brothers.

How did you come up with the title of the book, The Write House?
For a few years now,I have kept a notebook fill with poems that I had written. One day I was trying to figure out what the name of my book should be.Then I came up with the idea of calling my book "The Write House".The name of the book was actually the title to a poem that I did before in my notebook.I started to use the title as the name of the book and use the lyrics in the poem as my introduction.
