Working with different people in the field of SEO and Content marketing boost your morale to face new challenges in every single day of your carrier. 2 Days ago, one of my ex-colleague emailed me and asked about his latest blog post which was published probably one week ago, but google wasn’t able to index that because of a technical issue. Anyway, i resolved the issue and the post have been indexed in google.
Well, the reason for including this long preface above is to highlight that how much it’s important to index fast in google and have people find your content easily. So the question is, How to get indexed fast by google. Here I have added some tactics for you to follow:
Update Your Content Frequently: Keep it fresh.
The more frequently you publish new content the faster you get indexed. Yes, it’s true!! Have you ever noticed? Latest News from websites like techcrunch, telegraph can be found in Google’s News section within even 5 hours of being published. This is just because these news websites keep their content fresh and update news on an hourly basis.
If you want crawlers to hit your website more often, Then Keep your content fresh, relevant and up-to-dated according to the latest happenings in your business industry.
How often we should Post Fresh Content??
The question I am tired of being asked, but still I can answer this. Well, it totally depends upon the website or blog you are playing with. If you are running a news website, then you should probably post fresh news and content twice a day. This will be helpful in fast Google indexing. On the other hand, if you are running a blog related to any specific industry (e.g Health, technology, etc.), then it’s enough to refresh your content after every two days.
The XML Sitemap is the Basic element of Onpage SEO, that automatically adds your latest content URL in it, and enables google-bot to crawl it when a google’s bot hits your website. The sitemap generally contains all the URLs, including images, videos and other files.
Submit the Sitemap in Google Webmaster Tool: Make it easier for Google to crawl your sitemap is to submit that in Google Webmaster Tool. Doing this will enable you to check instantly, if any URL is indexed or not.
Ease of Social Sharing:
Make easy for your users to share your content with their community on social media website. This is the basic element of a perfectly optimized page. Google Spider hits social networking websites very frequently. So if you improve social media shares for your content, it is more likely to get indexed by google.
Social Bookmark your content:
Submit your fresh content in Top Social Bookmarking Websites. This is one of the accessible ways of fast google indexing. Sites like Reddit, Stumbleupon, delicious, are good to submit social bookmarks.
If you are running a blog, I personally suggest you to submit it to quality Blog Directories.
Submit in Search Engine Manually:
You can also submit your content to search engines manually. I do not recommend this because there are many other ways for you to let the spider crawl your website. Here you can submit your content:
For Google: Click Here
For Bing: Click Here
Posting Content on a regular basis is one of the best ways to have your fresh content discovered on Google and a properly indexed website is the key to get organic traffic from Google on every post that you have published for your respected users.
