The Road

by Tajammul Kothari (writer), Bahrain, August 09, 2015

For every challenges in life, there is hope

A long winding road called life

In each and every turn there is a surprise

Bright paths to guide you aright or

Dark alleys that hinder your sight

Every step to be taken with care

But also believing that someone’s there

A companion that lights up your face

In the steep valley and in the narrow place

Keep in mind the passersby

And guide them through the turbulent times

Cross the bridges holding hands and

Support each other through the shaky tracts

Enjoy the moments until the journey ends

Without thinking what the future bears

Cherish the past and march ahead

Taking your beloved in your tread

But do not forget to follow the Guiding Light

Lest you falter in the direction of right

So take pleasures in its vistas and sights

Since it’s a long winding road called life
