I always gain more understanding when I realize divine action is always working on my behalf. It is when I forget this and try to be totally in control, that things fall behind and apart. There are things in life that we simply are not going to be able to do anything about.
There are those times when you can not change what happened, or how it happened. Your hands are tied, your mind is blank, your mouth is shut and you feel totally helpless. This can be a scary place to be, but it does not have to be if you understand that this now is God's Job...
These are the experiences of God working on you, in you, through you, and for you. Although you want to get involved, although you feel the need to do something, when God is working, your job is to be still.
There is nothing more challenging than sitting through a God Job. Yes, you will feel weak. Yes, you may feel stupid. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do, nor is there anything you need to do except wait. In the midst of this, there is nothing you need to say. There is no place you need to go. There is no amount of fixing, trying out or trying that will make what you want to happen happen the way you want it to happen. When God is on the job, working for you, in you , there is no more and nothing on the planet that can help you through what you are going through.
On a God Job the only course of action is total surrender and trust. You become a child again. You must trust that you will be feed, that you will be changed, that you will be protected, that every need you have will be met. It may feel like you are becoming passive, but the truth is, if you trust God in the midst of this challenge, God can do more in five minutes than you could in five years.
I surrender, letting God do what only God can do for me.Trusting God is on the job. Doing what needs to be done, the way it needs to be done, working towards the best possible outcome for my best interests.
Today I am remembering that God has a plan, and that is all I need to know.

if trust, and gracious acceptance are the foundations by which one should live, and build upon, YOUR foundation of belief would surpass the tallest man made structure by virtue of your foundation alone. God told me to tell you that! :>) Said you'd understand girl. He actually interrupted my email when i asked him to give me the numbers for the latest lotto win won by another state. $30 mill a person won. God said "maybe you need a foundation like Barb's?" Only kidding, my sister told me to live my life as if i'm going to die tomorrow. Was in agony with a toothache, salt and pepper swill and it took the pain away? Maybe God heard me moaning? Had a shower tonight and the tap snapped off. Does God help out with 'excess' water bills? After all, i don't think we should be charged for water...it's heaven sent isn't it? You take care Ms. Faith. Good things happen to good people... so i've heard. Thinking about writing an essay on it! It's an 'in' joke i think SJ would understand too. You take care girl. Sister said to say hello. :>)
