H&M soon in L.A.

by Ariel (editor), Venice, CA, October 23, 2006

H&M will open its highly anticipated first store in Los Angeles on November 10th.
This date will coincide with the worldwide launch of their new collection designed by Viktor & Rolf. The first 200 customers will receive a free H&M t-shirt and gift cards ranging from $10 to $500.

H&M is a swedish clothing company and Europe's largest fashion retailer with more than 1900 stores in 24 different countries. H&M launched its first American outlet on March 31, 2000 on the 5th Ave of New York City. The west coast got its first store in San Francisco in late 2005.

LA's first H&M will open a 20,000 square foot, single-story store in the Beverly Center and will carry fashions for men, women, teens as well as lingerie. Pasadena's H&M (their first SoCal outlet opened in September) only offers women's clothing.

San Francisco and New York's H&Ms are packed most of the time, so be prepared to wait in huge lines for a while if you decide to check out the store on November 10th.

Boo...H & M clothes turn to paper after the first washing! But for 15 bucks...what can I expect? I'll probably be first in line with fishing lure to trip up the other bargain hunters...
