Admission through GCET 2015

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET), is conducted by State Government of Goa every year for the admission to various courses like, MBBS, BDS, BHMS, B.E & B.Pharma. In one of their advertisement.

Looking for admission into professional courses in Goa, so here you will come to know about how you can get admission in a reputed college for studying professional courses like- MBBS, BDS, BHMS, B.E & B.Pharma. Now- days, admission into professional courses is done by an entrance test. Exam like GCET is one of the reputed entrance exam in Goa, conducted by State Government of Goa for the admission to various courses of engineering, medicine etc. Students who wants to apply for this test have to fill application form and have to meet some eligibility criteria to get admission in these courses. In this article, we will give some important things about GCET 2015.

Eligibility Criteria For GCET 2015: Before applying for GCET exam, candidates should keep in mind, whether they are eligible to apply for this test or not; below is some eligibility criteria for GCET 2015

Age Limit: Candidates who wants to apply for admission to courses in, Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy, should be 17 years of age, on or before 31st December 2015.

Note: No age limit specified for admission to engineering, pharmacy and architecture courses.

Educational Qualification For GCET 2015: Educational Qualification required for GCET 2015 is that, candidate must have passed, class XII with, Physics, Maths and English or with any optional subject such as- chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/ Bio-Technology from any recognized board.

Note: Minimum percentage required for general candidates to apply for GCET is 45%, However for reserved candidates minimum percentage required is 40%.

GCET 2015 Registration Process: The application form for GCET will be available at registered notified centers. Candidates can get their forms on making the cash payment. Candidates not belonging to Goa, can get their forms, by sending a request to the “Detector, Directorate of Technical Education, along with DD in favour of Director of Technical Education payable at Panaji.
Candidates can submit the application form, along with the application fee at any notified receipt centers.

Note: Application forms can be submitted by candidates either personally by visiting any receipt center or by sending it via post.

Application Fee For GCET 2015:
Application fee for GCET 2015 is Rs900/-, which candidates have to submit in the form of, Demand Draft in favour “Director of Technical Education” payable at

Syllabus For GCET 2015: To prepare for the exam knowing its syllabus and exam is very important in this section we will give you the details about GCET syllabus and exam pattern.

GCET exam will be based on subjects of, Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology from class XII standard of Goa board.

Exam Pattern: GCET exam will consists of 75 questions from each paper, and for every correct answer 1 mark will be given. Duration of the exam will be 2 hours.

Note: There will be no negative marking system for wrong answer marked by candidates.

Preparing For GCET 2015: GCET preparation is very similar to class 12th preparation. GCET exam is not that difficult to clear, which doesn't mean to take this exam lightly, to clear any exam whether it is easy or difficult proper studies and revision on time is required. Make weekly time-table to study important topics and also practice lots of previous year's question papers.

Important Dates For GCET 2015:

1. Availability of application form(Form A) -23rd March 2015.
2. Last Date of submitting application form and collecting admit cards- 1st April 2015
3. Exam Date for GCET 2015- Physics-5th May 2015 (10 Am -12 Pm), Chemistry- 5th May 2015(2 Pm-4 Pm) and for Maths 6th May 2015 (10Am-12 Pm)
