Experience the charm of the Tourist Attractions Voted Phuket’s Best. Just book flight tickets to Phuket and do visit them when on a holiday to Phuket.

Phuket, also known as the Pearl of the Andaman, is the most accessible of all island destinations of Thailand and is also the gateway to innumerable world renowned Thailand beaches, islands and national parks. Being one of the most loved tourist destinations, Phuket offers abundance of things to do and places to see to its visitors.

Additionally, Phuket has ample historical and cultural attractions, national parks, impressive vistas, farms and zoos, shrines and temples. Even the most devoted sun worshippers will certainly agree that that there is a lot more to Phuket than just beaches and sizzling night time entertainment.

All major airlines provide frequent flights to Phuket from all parts of the world; all you have to do is go online and compare the airfares of different carriers to find cheap flights to Phuket and save big on your traveling expenditure.

After a survey of tourists and locals to this beautiful city, here are the three tourist attractions voted Phuket’s best (in no specific order).

1. Wat Phra Thong

Phuket’s world famous “Temple of Gold Buddha” is half buried so only the shoulders and head are visible above the ground. As per the local legend, those who have tried to excavate the statue have encountered grave accidents or seriously ill. The temple is specifically revered by Thai Chinese; many of them deem that image hails from China.

During Chinese New Year, devotees and pilgrims descend from Takua Pa, Krabi and Phang-Nga. Along with the Phra Thong there are 11-more amazing Buddha Images, including a Phra Praket (a distinct pose where Buddha is touching his head with his right hand). Each image promises a different virtue (health, wealth and success etc) to those people who make offerings.

2. Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park

Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park ranks second of the three tourist attractions voted Phuket’s best. Every year millions of tourists book cheap flights to Phuket to check out its stunning attractions, and one among them is Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park.

The 125-sq-km Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park is a spectacular assortment of mountains, estuaries, mangroves, forested valleys, mountains and sea cliffs. The park is a home to monkeys, the rarely-seen Asiatic black bears, tapirs, gibbons, drongos and hornbills.

Guided treks along the coast can be arranged via numerous tour agencies in town, and similarly long-tail boat tours up the beautiful Khlong Thap Liang estuary. The latter provides great opportunities to see mangrove communities of crab-consuming macaques.

North of the Khao Lake is a stunning network of sandy beach trails – some of which take you to deserted beaches – which are an adventure to explore by hired motorbike or foot.

3. Thalang National Park

The museum features five-exhibit halls narrates Phuket’s history and tracing the different ethnicities present in the southern Thailand. The saga of the “two heroines”, who purportedly drove off an 18th-century Burmese invasion force via convincing the women of the island to dress like men, is also shown in detail using touch-screen electronic presentations and backlit exhibit panels.

The prize artefact is a statue of Vishnu (2.3m-tall) that dates to the 9th century and was discovered 100 years ago in Takua Pa.

So, these were the three tourist attractions voted Phuket’s best. Phuket offers myriad attractions to the tourists like beaches, islands, Temples, parks, museums and many more. For the independent and adventurous types, the best method to experience and explore Phuket is to rent a small motorbike or car, as the island can easily be seen with a vehicle in only a few days. So be prepared to have a great time on Phuket holidays and come back home with beautiful memories.
