Everyone has life’s challenges and can face them with fear or with trust. I choose to look at them as experiences where God blessed me with His curve balls thrown in. These curve balls are not the negative, painful or abusive life experiences that I have lived through, but rather the unexpected, blessings, gifts, and graces God threw in to help me through the experiences. I believe that these curve balls were given so that I can witness to His great and awesome presence in and through the experiences, the people in those experiences and in myself as living through and surviving the experiences as a better, not bitter human being.

Question1- Do you listen to music while writing? If so, what do you listen to?

Contemporary Christian and instrumental.

Question2- Do you have any suggestions for upcoming writers?

Be true to yourself and your calling to write. If you have a desire to write then there is something that you are being called to share and someone can benefit by your story.

Question3- What is it you like to do when you are not reading/writing?

Spend time with my husband, enjoying time my golden retriever and my cat, watching old time TV shows, being outside in God’s creation and catching up with friends.

Question4- Is there an author/authors that have inspired you?

Tony DeMello, Henri Nouwen and Erma Bombeck.

Question5- As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a nun.

Question6- How do you/would you react to a bad review of your book?

People are entitled to their own opinion. I would want to hear why they had a bad review so as to respond to it. It is a book about the painful life experiences that I have lived through and my message of hope and healing. If someone does not recognize the message, then I would ask what it is that they are unable to accept or recognize in their own life and what is keeping them from being truly free.

The author lives in Aston, Pennsylvania with her husband John, their golden retriever Clover and their two cats: Duchess and Graygray. Dr. C is a Pastoral Associate/Spiritual Director for a Catholic parish in Delaware County and John works for the Federal Government. Dr. C graduated with her Doctorate in Ministry degree in May 2013.
