Those we love never leave our hearts
watch the video

“Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.”

To teach myself to think of you

Without so much emotion

Without longing to look

Into your sweet eyes

Which showed me your soul

A soul connected to my own...

When will the pain stop?

How do I let it be at peace?

I told you long ago

I did not want to live in a world

Without you

Now you are gone

My souls still cries for you...

I am here

You are there

In a better place

So they say

I am selfish

I want you here with me

My heart not able

To let you go...

I want to call you

Talking for hours

About everything

And nothing

I want to hear you laugh

Listen while you tell me

What I am doing wrong

You never bite your tongue...

We saw life so differently

You being you

Me being me

Still we learned

Met in the middle

Complimented each other

Respected without

Needing to be right...

I want to be happy

Knowing you no longer suffer

My heart does not want

To let you go

I cling to you still

Waking in the night

To talk with you

To tell you

I love you, miss you...

Oh my sister

Just one more time

I want to kiss your cheek

Hold you in my arms

Tell you again

How much you mean to me

Can you still hear me ?

Can you still feel me ?

I know you know

Barb, Nothing can be as assertive and assimilating to see the way one reaches out to time which has gone...the people which have left and the reflective index of your thoughts can be viewed so clearly that how much you care...Your love for your sister is so visible in this poem so as your longing for her… You hold an amazing passion to say things so eloquently…beneath the serenity of your longing I gather the resonating orchestration of soul which always wish to sing in unrestraint mode…You have a qualified ability of a great writer to reach out with words with so much ease…Once again a beautiful poem by you Barb…

yeah Barb, indelible memories stain your heart and cause a flutter when something prompts and brings a clear focus of a slightly blurred memory simply because in that defining moment a stranger even will emulate something that was typical of what your sister would say or do. And your heart skips and smiles. Saw a guy the spitting image of my dad the other day. Had this crazy impulse to embrace him...

I still remember when my Dee's Mother had passed... when you took the time to reach out in kindness to call her to comfort her. My dear friend, I so apprecaited that you did that for myself and also her. You know Uttam how much I loved and cherished my sister and even now there is not a day that passes that I do not still have her in my thoughts and I still talk to her, knowing she hears me.

Thank you Uttam, our memories live forever in our is why we are able to keep living with hope...

Yes Riginal, our hearts often flutter with beautiful memories..(I love that expression) are so right, it can be a person, a place, a word spoken in a certain way, a smell, a taste, a deep emotion... and we are traveling back in time to relive our beautiful memories... I understand exactly what you mean...thank you Riginal...
