New South Wales is definitely one of the more colourful and interesting states in Australia. Tagged as the most populous state in the country, NSW is never short of surprising things to offer.

New South Wales and Its Real Estate Market

NSW has a progressive economy, which makes it a magnet to both established and starting professionals. This is why it is not surprising that the state is a real estate hub. While the state has a large population, 7.4 million people as of June 2013, the housing market is very active, offering countless of properties and houses to consumers.

The state easily attracts housing consumers for variety of reasons, including being the home of Sydney. If you are one of the many people who are strongly considering and planning to buy a home in NSW, there are few considerations you should never forget to zero in. Aside from setting aside realistic budget, consulting with a financial services company, and a real estate company, you should also keep in mind real estate etiquette. The importance of practicing proper decorum while looking for house to buy in NSW is often underestimated. Real estate etiquette is important because it helps consumers have the best home buying experience without experiencing hassle.

Real Estate Etiquette: Visiting Display Homes

One of the more exciting parts of home buying in NSW is visiting display homes. There are several reputable housing companies in NSW that let consumers have a sneak peek of the homes they sell. Respected companies have display homes for single storey, double storey, split level, and even acreage home designs, like that of Clarendon display homes.

If you are planning to visit a home display soon, you may want to review some tips about real estate etiquette. The following are some of the things recommended you do and avoid doing while visiting an NSW display home:

Be courteous and respectful – Do not be an unreasonable client. Being a customer does not give you the right to be rude and irrational. When visiting a home display, be courteous and respectful to the company’s agents or representatives. This will allow you to understand more about the home since the agent or representative will not have a hard time explaining the home’s features.

Be mindful of your actions – Avoid breaking anything inside the display home. Be mindful and careful of your actions while inside the display home, especially when inside a room filled with fragile items. It is also recommended to ask for assistance whenever you feel the need to hold things.

Postpone your criticisms – It is not ethical to say outright negative comments about the display home while you are still there. Even if you have basis for your negative comments, it would be better to postpone your criticisms until you get out of the display home. Preferably, you may want to turn your negative comments into reasonable questions. Instead of expressing your negative comments about the display home, you may want to ask the agent for more information about the home.

Ask first before taking photos – Do not take pictures of the display home without asking for permission first. Some real estate companies do not allow clients to take pictures of their display homes, while others care less about clients who take photos. As a courtesy, you would want to ask for permission first before taking pictures. In case the company does not allow picture taking, you may ask for actual photos from the company’s agent or representative.

If you have already decided to buy a home in NSW, you will not have a hard time finding one since there are many real estate companies that sell quality homes. Additionally, there are many display homes like Clarendon display homes you can visit, which will help you find the most suitable home for you and your family.
