Planning a mega party
So it’s the biggest party of the year – New Year’s Eve. The party to end all parties you’ve had in 2013 and kick off 2014 with a bang. So you want good music, good drinks, some tasty nibbles and most importantly of all… plenty of comfortable seats.
We’ve all been to a dodgy party where you’re standing around awkwardly because of a lack of seats, or placed on a stiff hard back chair that makes you feel like you’re in a doctor’s waiting room.
And trying to get to know everyone, relax into the night and get everyone to loosen up and share silly stories for laughs – that sure isn’t going to happen with hard back chairs.
Setting the scene
Think about it. How do you relax when you’re at home? You put your feet up, you get a snack, you get comfy and horizontal, and you start enjoying a bit of telly.
This is what you want your guests to do, so that everyone starts having a good time as soon as they walk through the door. So all you need to do is recreate the environment where they feel most chilled out. So that they know that the conversation are going to be about those funny dance-offs and tequila shots, rather than tax bills and which days the bins are collected in different areas.
Make it cool, make it informal and hell, it’s only once a year – you may as well stick a disco ball in there as well.
Then start enjoying New Year’s!
So get a few comfy bean bags together, get the drinks on ice, put the lights down and the tunes on. And there you have it, the perfect New Year’s Eve party atmosphere. Giving people the chance to snuggle up together if they want on a larger bean bag, put their feet up on leather or suede, and there’s even outdoor bean bags so smokers don’t feel left out in the cold.
Now you can just enjoy the atmosphere and hopefully be praised for years after on the best New Year’s party they’ve ever been to.
Best things about NYE:
· It’s something to look forward to after Christmas day’s over
· You still have at least one whole day off work guilt-free to recover afterwards – and probably another huge medicinal pig-out session too
· You can say goodbye to any rubbish stuff that might have happened this year and welcome a fresh start
· You might get a smooch at midnight from an attractive stranger
· You’re full of hope, big plans and New Year’s resolutions
And you can’t enjoy all of these things on a hard back chair – so take a look at Great Beanbags, choose your favourites and make your guests feel at home. And the best thing is, you get to slouch around on them the next day when you’re feeling a little worse for wear. Perfect.
