Those who have heard Michael Buble's music tend to fall into two general categories: love him or hate him. But, it's so terribly hard to hate someone who has so much going for him. Humor, motivation, sincerity and just plain old natural, raw talent. Well, that and actress Emily Blunt, to boot. A velvety-smooth voice is his name and jazz standards is his game.
Buble' will be returning to Atlanta on August 13 and 14 of this year for another run at entertaining us at the Fox Theatre. But it will be much more than your average concert; Buble' followers will be out and about and they are not your typical fans.
A quick visit to the forums at michaelbuble.com or bungalow-b.com will reveal the fans are as much a part of the show as Buble' himself. White ribbons will be adorned upon many breasts entering the venue these two evenings and squeals and starry eyes will be plentiful. Not since Frank or Dean can a man in a suit singing classic jazz lullaby's to an audience from age 5 to 95, stir up such emotion. Don't sit there and think, "Oh, great...lots of women getting all emotional over some singer." There are men who will shove you out of the way to get good seats at a Buble' show. Husbands bring wives, wives bring mothers, mothers bring their children.
Buble's latest release, "Call Me Irresponsible" shows he's anything but. Carefully chosen tunes, including two self-penned titles("Lost" and the recently released "Everything") show he is talented at not only singing, but writing. With the extremely talented Alan Chang backing him up on piano, Buble' can't lose. But you'll lose out big time if you pass by this opportunity to see Buble' in his natural surroundings: an intimate venue, an audience and a microphone.
