motorimports are an English company that have been exporting UK cars worldwide for over twenty years. Last week they launched www.ukcarscyprus.com and are in the process of building a new web engine that will allow buyers in Cyprus access to every UK car available from UK auctions such as BCA, British Car Auctions, Manheim remarketing, The fleet Auction Group and G3 remarketing. This provides a choice of over 30,000 vehicles a week. Company CEO Jason Duffy says that the experience they have setting up the biggest export network to New Zealand and Ireland will have huge benefits for Cyprus car dealers, "we are a trade to trade service, and being able to offer cars direct from auction to dealers in Cyprus will provide them with the best value and choice". Motorimports provide data to customers in their network of exact vehicle details including auction reports and servicing records. All vehicles purchased are inspected by hand and are purchased to order. The dealer gets to be involved all the way in the process and ultimately makes the final call on what price to pay.
"Since C02 laws are getting stricter in Cyprus many Japanese imports are no longer economically viable. There has been an increase in Cypriot bidders at auction but they are buying cars on the internet without inspecting them.
Duffy is currently in discussion with some potential Cypriot partners,"we will build a system that allows our partner on the ground in Cyprus to log in and see cars priced up in Euros including freight and local taxes, after that we have buyers at all major auctions so once we find the right partner we will have a system that will make importing a UK car much safer and transparent.
