Once Upon A Time

Some Years Ago

A Divided City

Once upon a time, there was a man who lived by the side of a river.

One day he drove to work in his car.

Tock ...

He took the same route to work every day.

Tick ...

Within the car, there was a clock.

Tock ...

But he could not hear the clock

Tick ...

Affixed beneath the car and secured by a metallic lock.

Tock ...

When one of the hands of the clock

lol...reminds me of years ago when my ex husband bought a gas and propane car....on the way home one evening we had someone hitting their horn to get our attention. The dang car had flames coming from the exhuast...my ex husband pulled over and threw snow on it to put it out. Good thing it was winter or we may of been blown up...it's funny now, but was not at all funny at the time. Welcome to Broo Paul....Hope to read more poetry from you...my favorite format.
