The American Healthcare System, my thoughts on a disgrace

Credit: http://towncenterwellness.com/
A country once huge and a symbol for freedom and love and care, now a nation for money makers, war and your life being less important

My personal thoughts on the disgrace that is the American Healthcare system.. My thoughts and mine alone. I would appreciate feedback here, I may be wrong.

FE_DA_090810procon_m60882

It pains me to speak to friends and watch a nation called the “Beacon for freedom” and the “World’s Super Power” and discover 150+ people die each day because they don’t have insurance. The USA was once looked upon as the place to go; the American Dream was once the big thing, now you truly have to be asleep to see it

I speak to many, I research well, and this is the damning truth of a country now more interested in War and sending $Billions$ of dollars to mainly Muslim countries than helping its own people, anyone who can’t see it that way isn’t paying attention to what is happening over there. I am from a tiny island 5,000 miles and I can see it, so can many, but just how bad is it? Just how bad has it become? Just how wrong has the USA become at Governmental level? These are questions we could ask all day, but finding answers is the difficult bit, the gray area so to speak

A country I love, a people I love, in bits, falling to its knee’s faster than the Roman empire did, it is sad that people die because they have less money than the person standing next to them. Obama Care, give me a laugh, it changed nothing, and it is an illusion of care, where none exists

I was speaking to Doc over at http://hrexach.wordpress.com/ and she is an ex medical person, she sent me a link to a Senator from the USA, I posted it already, in-case you missed it, check what he has to say, he is from Florida, his name is Alan Grayson, like Ron Paul a politician who seems to want to help the people and not go to war

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r27FOMW1scw

He brings many good points to the table, and the headline in the media says it all “What your Government doesn’t want you to see” This says it all for me, The USA has turned into a species of people (Due to Government) where Money will keep you alive, this is wrong, so very, very wrong

This is an outrage, and the longer you guys stand back and allow this to happen, the more the War Machine and the greed will be more important THAN YOU. This is sad. Over here in the UK, we pay less tax, we see the Dr the same day we need to, if we need to, we get our medication, we can take a trip to the hospital at ANY time, and this is all free

Don’t allow a national tragedy to keep happening, act now

This was a study done by Harvard http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2009/09/new-study-finds-45000-deaths-annually-linked-to-lack-of-health-coverage/ it is a HARD read, but it must be read.

Are you for War or are you for the living? For me the choice is an easy one. Why allow your Government to spend BILLIONS on foreign aid and Wars and risk YOU dying

Take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask the HARD questions, life over liberty?

Don’t make me laugh, people say “People still flock to the USA” This may be true, but why? There is nothing to gain. People flock to the UK for free homes and free healthcare and money

My love to the American people

Shaun

One of the worst aspects of any war for whatever reason it was launched ie: Vietnam, and Afghanistan etc is the way badly injured American Australian and allied soldiers were and are treated when they return home. Particularly the mental impact/scars- which as evidenced on Dr Phil who helped just two soldiers for whom he provided and paid expensive 'proper' mental rehabilitation etc- doesn't bode well for anyone concerned about war and or the horrific mental/physical aftermath. Let alone the endless health/mental discrimination war on civilians in so called affluent countries...or is that effluent? Doctors, nurses and rehab people, plus volunteers,do a wonderful job but when you run a health system for whatever reason purely as a 'business' everyone suffers. In Australia as in America etc charities always have to pick the 'slack' up of badly run governments. Appeal after appeal for money from the average Joe to fill the gap of research funding on disease and prevention. They have an appeal every year for the Royal Melbourne Childrens Hospital here which raises some millions and politicians clap. I wonder if government health authorities here and overseas don't suffer monetary clap. A spreading financial disease that seems to invade anything and everybody of a non-military persuasion. There's plenty of money around...it goes around/past anything needing urgent attention such as a right to decent basic health care. We do have damn good health care in Australia that most people would die for...as opposed to dying for the lack of...no pun intended. Should "make love not war " be the cry, or "we love to make war?" Not that deep into politics or blame, but surely a more equitable distribution of resources could be attained and maintained? Be great if everyone would put their guns down and pick up the broken thread of commonsense and build something healthy instead of blasting the shit out of each other. Obviously despots need to have their bottoms smacked but there's an ever increasing amount of red bottoms presenting without and within. Getting hard to differentiate? Cheers...God bless...as opposed to God blast!

lol...

I was speaking to an American chap on Skype a few weeks ago; he was telling me people are less likely to go see a Dr about ANY mental health issues, even depression. He stated you are put on a "Watch list" and monitored for "Unusual behaviour"

Hmmm I thought.

So I asked about, and yeah, it’s true. I think Dr Phil needs to step in here. This is utter madness. I actually feel sorry for my American friends, but having the 2nd in place all these years, why sit back and allow it to get to this point. American is a War Country now. They give BILLIONS$ They don't have to Middle East Countries for "Yeah you are right" Health care help

I wish I was making this up.

Life lottery over there. Land of the brave, home of the free. Yeah, when did this stop? Brave maybe, free, not a chance

The decline in the U.S. economy has set the stage for the decline in the overall infrastructures within government. As a result the medical field is one of those industries that are experiencing that economic deficiency. I don't believe the system will ever completely recover, and in light of these circumstances we can expect more difficult times ahead.Excellent subject, great articleCredo

I just find it astonishing in 2013 the world’s super power (Well it is China now really) has a “Life Lottery” anyone loses their job, gets ill, they die. 150 a DAY because of no health insurance, life should never have a price on it. I think in Europe we just don’t understand it, it is very unfair on an amazing people...

Thank you

Life is definitely on a down slop in this country.

It's gotten so bad now that you can be put in jail for feeding the homeless, you know they don't care about medical benefits or health care.

everybody seems to blame the 'economy' for everything. Apathy and monetary mismanagement run rampant like a pair of giggling unscolded twins. A former leader of a band turned pollie here introduced free roof insulation. Inept untrained people caused house fires, people died. Children balanced on rooftops handing in the batts. I think Barb,a former mental care worker said "mental care/help is way down the ladder of things to remedy. Just not important enough." Unless an election is looming. Billions promised for our next election. Should one party or t other trip over the line. Once in most of them line up for a trip overseas to study why people study so hard so that they can further their studies overseas so they can climb a higher financial ladder to see over the amount of debt they've accumulated as a result of their 'advanced study' borrowing. Don't get me wrong Shaun, intelligence can be a wonderful tool...should i accidently stumble across some i'll let you know. I mean people used to think the world was oval.I've worked flat out to prove otherwise. In a round about way.

Is that true? you can get arrested and jailed for giving a homeless person food? Under what rule? A new made up one?

And yeah I am well aware of how much the US Government don't care, what I struggle with most is how many people from within the US refuse to believe or accept what is about to happen. It's like fingers in the ears, la, la, la ....

I see where you are coming from, I don't see it as people blaming the economy, I just see greed, corporate greed where a life is worth a few dollars more than the person standing next to them. For the life of me, as I said above, I don't get why many from the states can't see what is coming, what has happened, and have never looked at what happened in Germany in 1935 and see some kind of repeat happening. 1st the guns, then you truly are a number. A once great nation I keep hearing. Killed JFK, Watergate, lies over oral sex, the list is endless, and people are surprised at more lies :0)

Shaun keep off those giraffes. You could wake up with a real long headache. Don't worry the average American is like the average Aussie and Pommie etc. They all know what's going on but unless it's an election you are rendered politically impotent,or unless people get behind someone like Mike Moore/or other and stage huge marches and such or perhaps start hounding via laptop their local yokel pollie for change...nothing happens. Everytime a decent person presents, to give the establishment a "shot in the arm of reality" some crackpot arms up. As evidenced by writers residing on Bro, the political threads are parallel to yours. Anyway, life goes on. My arm has just devoured $8000 nearly of anti-biotics and i feel guilty. I was thinking of coming to America and letting loose a pig for every pollie occupying a seat in Congress. But i would be afraid of them taking over and saving America's bacon.Ridiculous notion. How the hell would you get them back to their trough afterwards? And the pigs after they've sorted America out and downed some freebies, junkets, etc, will eventually get bored and want their trough/bay back.Could end up a 'bay of pigs' reinactment. They'll devour anything you know. Where as the pigs may snort up a little but are basically decent and rarely grunt unless they are sitting downwind of a farce. Don't get me wrong, some would give you the shirt off their back...they don't suit pigs anyway...it's the tie you see, they can get knotted.Which is what governments councils etc say bout the people they are supposed to represent....so i've heard. Shaun you have a great day/night and go easy on the bacon. You may be eating our salvation! At least pigs don't lie about their watergates or lie about oral sex...they just lie about. See! they're well on the way to take over.
