The Tapestry Of Life

by Barbara MacDonald (writer), CANADA , August 06, 2013

Credit: unknown
when we embrace the many parts of our experience, we discover it's magnificence

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

Gaze into my eyes

Burning brightly

While I weave you a vision

Soft as cotton

Fragrant as jasmine

Pungent as pepper

Resplendent purple images

Fragile as a silken dandelion

Swaying in the cosmos

Of the wind...

This tapestry weaved

With the brush of our souls

The tears of our hearts

The cascade of our spirits

Imprinted with the colors

Emotions which are shared

The threads un-faded

Memories woven with resolve...

Tattooed moments of splendor

Dancing on the horizon

Painting a masterpiece

With the wings of joy etched

Within the elegant stars of heaven

Bursting forth our thoughts

A polished halo

As we sing with the angels...

No tears but those of joy

Sprinkled benevolence

Dancing into the calming breeze

The ocean of life calling

Swimming inside this sweet surrender

The warmth of the white sand

Playing on our toes

Wet lips quenching our nature...

Listen to the music

Playing in harmony inside

Our innocent aspirations

Ride in the chariot of your dreams

Drawn by our heart's longings

Unlocking the key to our hearts

To play a symphony of endless happiness...

This is the tapestry of our lives

Unfold it safely

Cherish each moment

Honor it's sacred grace

Breathe it's magnificence

Color the textures

In radiance and love...

The tapestry of life

Woven in surrender

As elusive as love is

To a thirsty heart's longing

Weaved within unending

Blessings fueled by

Desires of the soul...

Barb,

If you go to the edit toolbar. There is now a button that is for embedding a video into the body of the article.

It will look a lot nicer than it used to.

In the tapestry of your thoughts I read the complete life...The life which should be like this...In the given conditions of life you have evolved a beautiful thoughts to take life as it comes with ease...This is not a mere poem but I would say this poem is a very logical flow chart to move on in your life with absolute calmness...And in your acceptance of the facts of life I see a wisdom to enrich oneself with all varied conditions...Barb what a beautiful poem and this makes me feel to accept with all grace...with all humility ..with all hope to embrace the moments of life as it comes...Nothing would be as welcoming for the existence when we establishes a peace with facts and moves on...You have reached height where I see in you a great thinker...Keep it up Barb...
