Still I Hold On To Hope....

by Barbara MacDonald (writer), CANADA , July 01, 2013

The answer to every question lies within hope....

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I am a dreamer of bountiful dreams

Many never coming to fruition

I've watched them silently flying

Into the vast unknown chasm ***

Still I have dreams I realized and they bless me

So I dream on...

I am a prayer of endless prayers

Quietly I wait looking for this

Sweet redemption to bless my heart

They go unanswered***

Still many prayers were heard and justified

So I pray on...

Often I have trusted a friend

To be betrayed and left weeping

A betrayal to my heart

Scarred with pain***

Still many friends have been true

So I trust on...

I've planted endless seeds

Never seeing them blossom

Becoming feed for the birds

To live and nourish their babies***

Still I have witnessed them prosper

So I plant on...

I have swallowed tribulation

Affliction undeserved

None the less given

Many days without a song***

Still I drank in perfect splendor

So I live on

Barb you constantly consistantly outdo yourself in your chosen field of contentment. Pity you can't bottle it there would be a lot less people stealing from supermarkets but in your case i'd have to stop you from giving your bottled poetry away free in the 'live life and be content aisle.' But that's who you are...and aint that a blessing to yourself and more importantly to everyone your words come in contact with and touch...however briefly. You say you're in a new building? Don't tell me you had to lug all those DVD's there? You are one busy woman. I just hope you don't park your car several floors up as the noise driving up and down the steps would drive one to writing poetry? So! that's your meditation secret!

Thank you so much very sweet of you. Yes, I am keeping quite busy, but liking it very much. So many people living here that really can use the programs I am trying to implement along with another lady.

DVD's...I am insane when it comes to collecting movies...I must have around 400 of them...all I know is I don't want to part with yes, I lugged them all here when I moved...along with all my old records and tapes and CD's...I di down size my books and only kept my very favorite ones...donated the rest to some women's shelters.

Thank you again my friend. :-)

Intense prayer with an element of pain to plead with each word indicates the passionate resolution of your heart...In your most puerile heart there lives a great human being...You have been always selflessly giving in abundance to everybody...In your greatness you have always lifted yourself to be immortal...This poetry who can understand better than me...I know you barb from 8 years...Each word is a truth...My friend you are the best...Keep it up...Keep writing…keep giving..Be what you are...You are always an asset to your and community...The one who befriend you is certainly so blessed...And I am the one most fortunate to be blessed by you…
