A love poem...I found you in my dreams years ago...patiently I waited for you to appear...

There is a window from my heart to yours

We opened this with trust, laid our souls bare

Inhaling your breathe within my being

Trusting in the sacred power of love....

When I heard my first love song

I knew I would find my way to you

I started searching for you long ago

Waiting patiently for God to bless us...

Love does not come to us on our terms

It is destiny flown on wings of hope

Neither can we control or demand love

It is freely gifted as grace from above....

We did not meet somewhere

You were in my heart all along

Perception and instinct beyond

Earthly boundaries transported...

Infinite and eternal seeking

Only to give it's abundant joy

Unite two as one in sacred purpose

Raining overflowing opulence unending...

the hardest thing to do is to let go of control and demands but what an inspirational imsge to keep in our minds as our ideal

You are so right Melanie, letting go and letting God is very difficult, but also I do believe He knows what is best for us, and things happen for a reason...Thank you, yes I am an idealist when it comes to life and also love.

Barb, when it has to be about love then surely, heart seldom betrays to come out with real feeling and with the truth of your impression, instinct and intuition, you have so beautifully assembled your emotions to portray unadulterated thoughts about love...Your composition amazes me and leaves me mesmerized…especially the following lines are certainly unique …This is an excellent piece of literary expression and so close to truth

“Love does not come to us on our terms

It is destiny flown on wings of hope

Neither can we control or demand love

It is freely gifted as grace from above....”

Keep it up! Barb

Thank you so much Uttam, you know how much I love writing poetry...and love is something I try to focus on in one form or another...:-) Without love what do we really have?
