Thank you Virginia for inspiring me to write this poem after reading your article "Artfully Coloring A Lie Still Tells a “Big Fish” Story" ...

TRUTH

I will not hide

from this naked truth

even though it crushes my soul

let me look it straight in the eye

embrace the pain it brings me...

Knowing the umbilical truth

as I amble forward

never looking backwards

like dressing and undressing

my mind looking within...

Finding myself and knowing

what I value and trust

has importance beyond

the narrow thinking you

wish to accuse me of...

Truth always stands firm

no matter how much you may try

to twist it to justify your actions

it is what in is

nothing more...nothing less

Searching for myself within this

being at peace knowing that

intention has a higher purpose

then simple justification

moving forward

holding firmly to reach beyond

ego-based parameters

Finding self and embracing
THE TRUTH.....

Beautiful, Barbara! And I am so bad at using chat abbreviations that I had to ask my daughter what "LMAO" was. lol! I am trying to learn the "lingo" here. :)

Back to your poetry, Amiga...you are (as my children like to say) "The Bomb!!!" You are awesome.

Mucho BIG hugs, dear friend.

Barb, What a great expression...."intention has a higher purpose"...And when purpose is so truthful it becomes sacred...And in this poem I get to know an insight of a woman who holds truth with absolute sincerity towards purpose...Barb, truth always goes with you...It is intrinsic to you...You are absolutely what you are when you embrace truth in totality...Nothing is as evasive if one deny the truth and this poem reflects your very strong belief...In your truth you are the best...Believe me…

it's a pity that those who stand for the truth are the marginalized. it's almost as if satan rules the world and that first coming of the messiah was a botched attempt at inverting the situation. it's been about a 1000 years since camelot and we still have not learned...

Thank you Uttam. I never wish to consider myself the best, I do firmly believe in being truthful though, with myself as well as others. My children learned this very long ago. That lying to their Mom was worse than just saying what you had done.

At times, yes, it feels like that Shane, I agree...but I also have been privileged to know some amazing people...and what is interesting was that many I met in places so many others would avoid...Thank you for your comment Shane, appreciated.
