Hold on my love, I am coming

by Uttam Gill (writer), BOMBAY(MUMBAI), February 13, 2013

watch the video

It's about the love which never desert even in the extreme circumstances

She looks deep into the desert
Wind and dust taunts the sight
She pray no harm comes to him
She is restless, he has not returned
Desert and life claims the victim in its own way
Sensing the bad omen, as dog barks
Brushing the fear, she mumbles “God Keep him safe”
She is restless, he has not returned
Time stands still as he is nowhere at sight
He looks at the sky and her hands
The Hands which he kissed, when he left
She is restless, he has not returned
As sun sets in and the fear knocks her senses
She brush aside the fear and say “I know he is safe”
She trembles and prays more
She is restless, he has not returned
It’s dark and desert is absolutely at its peace
Not the wind who threatens the flame
The light won’t go out and she encircles the flame
She is restless, he has not returned
Today, the night is not t same, he is not back
She saddles on hope and loudly prays “Keep Him Safe”
The dark hours insults his prayer
She is restless, he has not returned
“I hope he is safe” he pray
The tears hold the fear, so as the hope
The light at the dawn flickers
She is restless, he has not returned
Dawn breaks and she looks deep into the desert
The frozen eyes tells her, he is not there
She looks up in the distant sky and sees vultures hovering
She is restless, he has not returned
She screams “Hold on my love, I am coming”
No fear can stop her now
The storm destroys the path
She yells “Hold on my love, I am coming”
The vultures hovering over to feast
Almost dead under the sand, he blinks
Life crawls into his ear and he hear
“Hold on my love, I am coming”

I knew this would make me cry when you told me about this poem you had written...is beautiful in many ways, but also bittersweet. I truly believe that death is not an end...it is just the vessel that passes...our soul lives on.

I am happy that you are exploring writing more poetry, I knew you would be just as honest and write from your heart also in this form.

Love the song, she is a Canadian artist that we living here are very proud of.

As always, this touches my heart ...well done Uttam :-)

So very beautiful and romantic, Uttam, and just in time for Valentine's too. Ahh... :)

By the way, Celine Dione has to have one of the most powerful and awesome voice of today. Thank you for sharing the video!

I'm hopeful that she got to him in time and was feeling her anguish all along. Powerful poem.
