Silence Of The Soul

Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content. Helen Keller

Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself, and know that everything in life has purpose. There are no mistakes, no coincidences, all events are blessings given to us to learn from.

Finding peace in dark silence

As the shadows

Tiptoe inside my dreams

No expectations

To shame my thoughts

Breathing exaltation

Inspiration to my heart...

Pure innocence belonging to

A call of my soul

When the ego becomes tired

Of dancing to daylight

Visions of obligation...

Let me embrace this silence

Be lost in the tranquil respite

Swaying in my mind

To the lullabies

Of blissful reticence ...

I kid you not Barbara...I've done courses covering most genres of writing, poetry, acting, radio, adverts, etc and talked to some 'established' poets . YOU! girl have that special something I can only attribute to as 'inscriptions/heaven sent' renderings from the HEART! AND you paint with your SOUL. You belong back in Dorothea Mackellar days when things were gentler, simpler, when respect and thoughtfulness didn't have a hidden price tag of 'obligation' to "write what we think you should..." 'Established poets' everywhere, if you feel a 'twinge' between verses and compilation...and inspirational 'thought management' it starts with a capital B...ends in a.Just my humble opinion...I reckon God's leaning on her shoulder...

I can hardly come near riginal's eloquence so I will simply say that we are on similar journeys

I am so afraid to touch the silence of your soul because I see in that complete serenity...Your thoughts are like moon beam kissing the waves of the ocean...From the tranquillity of your thoughts you composed a silence...In this composition I certainly wish to immerse to gain insight of the life...You are absolute in line with what you are...A healer, by nature you are...Keep it up Barb...

Mi Amiga, I just LOVE this (I love all your poetry). Riginal has it quite right: that you, Barbara, DO "have that special something", that something I see as "Gift!"

Uttam, too, expresses perfection when he says that he "afraid to touch the silence of your soul". It took me a moment to read again and think on it, but I finally understood just what he meant. :)

Big virtual hugs to you...

Riginal I must sincerely thank you for your beautiful comment...it is very humbling to me...I simply write what my heart and soul is telling me. I find great freedom in expressing myself through poetry and writing. It is always so wonderful when someone is touched by something u write...many thanks my friend.
