Intuition

Credit: unknown
Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not explain, but simply points the way .

I think we need the feminine qualities of leadership, attention to aesthetics and the environment, nurturing, affection, intuition and the qualities that make people feel safe and cared for .

Years ago while working at the drop-in center for the homeless we had gone on a retreat to renew ourselves. In this job, it truly was necessary. Before we had gone we took temperment sorter test . It was the long version of the Myers-Briggs Temperament Sorter Test. I found out I was an INFP.....identified as the Idealist Healer.....and it seems only 1% of the population is this. So I knew I was a little different, but this certainly confirmed it to me.

One of the things I learned from this is that I am naturally intuitive and often this is how I "see'" my world, and make decisions. It allowed me to welcome this into my life more, and in the process I have learned to have more trust in this "knowing" part of myself.

"Your intuition is your friend for life"

Your intuition is the bridge between the known and unknown. yet because we can not see it or measure it on any instrument, we often disregard that "voice"....."Don't drive down that road", "Call them NOW", "Take that course you wanted" it whispers, but often we ignore it as an aberration of the mind.

But that soft pervasive voice is your inner self speaking. Learning to listen for it and take action on it is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. That voice is your "speed dial" to your own inner truths. You know this , but your own civilized brain will often redirect the call, and put it on hold, sometimes to your detriment.

Make a decision today to listen to that inner knowledge, and a pact with yourself to act on it. Trusting your intuition is the hardest step, but once you make friends with your own "inner knowing", your own truth, there is no greater friend. To know the world, firstly know yourself....it is your most important journey in life.

So you are an Idealist Healer- my kind of person. I am wired to be an intuitive listener - love the Einstein quote, very revealing

I know when I first took it I finally came to have a better understanding of myself...This test is often used when hiring people as they feel it is that reliable...I went out and bought the book about this which is called Please Understand Me...a really great book that breaks down all the different temperaments ...Thought you might enjot taking it. :-)

Perfect timing, Barbara. I am at the moment struggling with my gut feelings, knowing what I must do but am afraid to follow my instincts. Thank you, Amiga. I have decided to put my fears into God's hands. Now that is what I must do first. :)

God bless, and know that you are a Godsend. ~XOXOX

Barb it’s a great article…Certain dimensions of understanding surely holds great influence over our impressions and decision making and intuition which you are referring to is about instinctive ability, primarily to sense danger and threat to our disposition...Not much I know about intuition but surely intuition at times makes me believe about something which at times fails me too…There is no denying the fact that intuition in many case holds considerable influence over the people…Why it is there…What it is there…. I just don’t know but surely I agree with Barb that intuition is the dimension of understanding by which we can take certain decisions of life…

Thank you Virginia, I think we all struggle at times trying to understand this sometimes complicated world...over the years I have learned to trust my own instincts more and listen when I am being guided from an "inner knowing". Maybe it is that God is actually speaking to us through this...the key is to be able to hear what is being said. Virginia, you are such a true soul and I feel blessed to have found you and have you in my life. :-) hugs and blessings always...xoxo

Thank you Uttam, is not that we always have our instincts directing us in the right way...(our own personal baggage can get in the way at times) ...but I am meaning that inner voice that when you look back you know it was trying to make you aware of own inner feelings. I do not always know either Uttam, but I am very aware of when I have neglected to listen to what my instincts are telling me.

Life has many dimensions, I just happen to be receptive to life on a more spiritual level...and often will trust this more than what appears on the surface.

I have often questioned whether it is departed souls which are still helping to direct our journey...

Let me give you an example...I did not know you years ago, but somehow my instincts told me you would be part of my life and you were a good man...

Thank you for your thoughts, as always...:-)
