'Mother, I want to live'… This is what the girl, who was brutally raped and wrote on a piece of paper.
The brutal gang rape of 23 year old girl in a moving bus and that too on busy road, in New Delhi has shocked the nation. Something is terribly wrong with my country. Every day we have been hearing news of crime against women and this horrific incident has once again made me believe that this country is heading towards anarchy.
Why that our women are unsafe? Do we need to have such horrific incident to awaken us from the slumber? Do we have to believe, the shady assurances of legislatures, who are so intoxicatingly holding a self divinity of their wisdom and in so abject manner, they are taking up the issues in the parliament as well in public. Do we have to believe and trust law enforcing agency? Do we have to wait for judicial activism to take a note of anarchical decay in our society and they take action? This undue wait is at premium. Long years of our freedom, have not made us proud, of saying, that our women are safe. How the hell it matters, if somebody takes political mileage or not; it makes no difference, as long as any constructive actions fetch the desired change, it is good. In the cynical and draconian opera of so called masters of common men have so pathetically performed, that my head hang in shame. Why, in spite of having such a vibrant democracy, we could not translate the dreams of our forefather to make this country a promising land of peace, harmony and safety. Why, that the woman is still looked upon as piece of commodity?
To hell with this arrogance that we, the Indian are the best; my foot, how can we call ourselves the best when basic freedom of an individual (especially woman) is so casually bartered to medieval beliefs, impressions and criminal actions. Certainly, something is terribly wrong in our society. We all are perpetrators of crime in denial, saying and believing that everything is fine; believing that we have the best system to contain heinous crime against woman…Believing that our police can keep us safe…Believing that our legislatures would rise to the occasion…Believing that our judiciary would create a deterring impact over the criminals…I am afraid over the fear of simmering threat nobody can be coxed to believe. Once the belief and faith are shaken, it is then imperative for three pillar of democracy i.e. legislature, judiciary and executives to take command over the situation and take concerted action. Right now scenario is so bleak for millions of my country man to believe.
I pray for that young woman who is struggling in hospital for her life. These barbaric and sick men so brutally raped this woman that even Satan would shudder to do so…These lunatics needs to be given an exemplary punishment. …No mercy to them…I mean it, so as more than 1 billion people of my country…TO THEM DEATH WITH PAIN TILL THEY DIE…NO LESS NO MORE
Quoting Times of India “By the time you will finish reading this report(article), at least one woman would have been raped, molested, harassed or even murdered somewhere in India”
