At times you wished to yell and begged for your innocence but strangely conditions ceased stopped you. Why could you not speak your mind? The answer is simple. You cultivated the silence in your own thoughts. The result was excruciating pain as when you tried to speak, you were unable to share your voice. The result was guilt. You were declared offender. To be prosecuted for the cognizable offence you were questioned incessantly and people formed positions to draw inference of your mindedness.
Your display of anxiety, conveniently invited insinuation from the people around you. You were marginalized without any remorse. Despite the injustice, you never lost touch to your soul. With your share of accolades and brick bats, you kept oscillating between moments of celebration and mourning.
You never tried to off-load this baggage of past. You kept it as an badge of identification. This was the person you had become. The cost was a merciless scanning of your being but you endured.
What is there to conceal? While doing so, you never lost the sheen. It was never an easy walk to be like that, but yes, you carried yourself in tandem with your emotions. You never blinked once, to share your feelings; unlike others, you remained as, what you are. Undeterred, unfettered, unbridled and untrammeled, you carried yourself in equanimity with your perfection and deformity. You know, you are not a God and neither a devil; but as a plain human being, you devised the way to live.
You understood that it was imperative to create your world of happiness. You understood the legitimacy of your aspirations and of your dreams. You knew that you could not lie to yourself because it's your life, not theirs.
