“Soul is immortal, eternal, undying, everlasting; body is mortal; to have such a soul one needs to love, forgive, forget, pray, help, abstain, change, repent, enjoy, believe...”

There is something so incredibly beautiful in this that I could not stop studying it... allowing my mind to explore it's meaning...while doing so, the poet in me giving birth to this...I want to buy a print of this...so love it...

Eternal Souls

When we are gone

Will you still embrace my soul

You live within a place

That death can not destroy

A sacred ground of eternal truth

Life and death are one

Neither having meaning alone

In the silent knowledge

Of your hopes and dreams

Lies eternity's blessings

Standing naked entwined

Between here and there

In the river of silence

You find your song

Reaching your destiny

No more to climb

To that mountain top

When life has claimed

Your bounty and limbs

Dance in freedom

In the soft clouds of joy...

!!!Par Excellence!!!

Of the fallen times this picture excruciates the dimensions of existence and the poem carves a niche to establish an unblemished link of eternity. You hold a beacon in your words for those, who are in search of eternal truth...Who so ever finds an eternal truth, there in lives an eternal soul...This poem is a longing for eternal existence...Barb you have created an immortal expression of eternal existence...Those who read this poem would surely cannot be left untouched...What a great poem you have written;

“The river of silence

You find your song

Reaching your destiny

No more to climb

To that mountain top

When life has claimed

Your bounty and limbs”

In silence one sings and the journey becomes a destiny. With quenching thirst in search of eternal truth we all have to give it to life and that’s how you rightly said that, “Life claims bounty and limbs”...As author of this soul searching poem you have bountifully blessed the readers with eternal passion...

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment Uttam, you humble me...you rightly say that I believe that truth is eternal as also are our souls...even death can not touch certain truths...

An afternote....One of my dear friends, is having her daughter paint me a version of this as a birthday present ...I am so honored and touched by this thoughtful gift I will receive...can't wait to see what the painting creates in her to express...very talented young lady and I am so happy she is again returning to this and nourishing her gift...I told her to please not try to duplicate it, but rather let it guide her to bring life to her own feelings when looking at this...:-)
