A Pirate's Tale

by gt281 (writer), State of Denial, June 29, 2012

Sixteen men on a dead man’s chest...Yoho Yoho.

Sixteen men on a dead man’s chest...Yoho Yoho.

It’s a pirate’s life for me.

“Set the main sails above. Full sails, me buckoos.”

“Aye, aye, Captain Pete.”

“We shall have him now. We shall have that treasure.”

“Fill those sails, tighten that lanyard.”

“Three points to starboard Mr. Johnson.”

“Aye, aye, Captain Pete.”

“We have him now me boys, that treasure will soon be ours.”

“Open the gun ports and load your cannons.”

“Bring us along side Mr. Johnson.”

“A broadside we will give him.”

“Fire, fire.” Boom boom boom...Splash Splash...

The cannons did roar, “We have him now.”

Boom boom, splash splash

“Captain Pete, Captain Pete, a monster I do see off the port bow.”

“Avast me mateys, abandon ship, abandon ship.”

“It’s the yellow whale that comes upon us now.”

Splash splash splash...“Swim for your lives me buckoos.”

Knock, knock

“Oh Petey, just look at the mess you’ve made.”

“You’ve got water everywhere.”

“Henry, now look what he’s done.”

“I told you we shouldn’t have taken him to that pirate’s movie.”

“Now he’s got water all over the floor.”

One British frigate, sunken below the waves, the pirate ship abandoned, and a yellow ducky bobbing along in the bubble bath.

Sixteen men on a dead man’s chest...Yoho Yoho.

It’s a pirate’s life for me.....
