NYPD Blue Screenwriter Arrested for Beating his Dog

230 lb former NYPD Blue Screenwriter is charged with beating is 4.5 pound dog.

Ted Shuttleworth was angry at his 5 year old poodle, according to police, so he punched the 4.5 pound dog in her face causing severe brain damage that ultimately led to the dog's death. Shuttleworth a former NYPD Blue screenwriter faces up to a year in prison.

NYPD Blue the American tv police drama that takes place in New York City, explores the internal and external struggles of a fictional 15th precinct of Manhattan. Each episode typically intertwined several plots involving an ensemble cast. There are no reports as to whether this was ever Shuttleworth's planned storylines.

"Shuttleworth, has worked for Steven Spielberg and now reads scripts for $300 a pop, allegedly decked little Lola on May 29 because he was angry at the pup. He took the 5-year-old dog to a veterinarian, where her death raised suspicions. The hospital called the ASPCA, which took Lola’s remains for a necropsy," reports the New York Post. He was arrested at his house in Queens this past Saturday. His wife told the Huffington Post that the dog's death was a "horrible accident." Shuttleworth has removed himself from the social networks of LinkedIn and Twitter where his previous profiles no longer exist.
