At Some Point In Time

Share our similarities, celebrate our differences. - M. Scott Peck

Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can't change. Life's too short to be anything... but happy.

At Some Point In Time

At some point in time

the past hurts

betrayals to our souls

scars on our hearts

that can't be healed...

or refuse to be--

they simply must be left

buried in time

as holding on to them

leaves the wound raw

holds us captive

no one wins and

everyone loses

even if we can

not see this

we are stuck

in time...

unable to move

ahead or reach

beyond what was

it is a choice between

staying chained

to darkness

or stepping

into the light....

it's not easy

healing never is...

at some point

in time

we must...

let it all go...

place a kiss of

grace on it

and send it to

God to handle...

At some point in time you penned down these lines to narrate about some point in time of past and I see you equated your aspirations and expectation with so much of grace…Amazing is your way of expression…Certainly a classic poem from you Barb…Keep it up

Yes Uttam you are right that I wrote this some time ago...actually was thinking of a friend at the time I wrote this and giving her this let go of the pain and give it to God...I knew how strong her faith was and thought this would help her...Thank you for your comment.
