Sitting in the nucleus of debris and effulgence of the past
Watching the breaking of a new day, searching the perspective
Longing for a glimpse of the road less traveled
Carrying in my soul a song which will resonate
Strumming the apparatus blending in harmony
The hope and heaven this new day brings me...
Contemplating my life , accepting in the fullest measure
Without illusions but open to expectations I will generate
Fulfilling my suppositions with a cry of joy on my lips
My heart beating with the rhythm of my dreams
Marching to a beat I feel in my soul
Time for reflection when the day is over ...
I shall not have fear guide me nor will I hold hands with grief
Pain may walk with me but it will quicken my step to arrive
Sooner with strength and forbearance counseling my journey
Arriving at my goal totally spent and dissipated leaving
Nothing unused , no remorse to stop my path ...
Letting go of any failures and clasping to my heart
The successes won with blood , sweat , and tears
I am made of better things than regrets, sorrow, or disapproval
Let experience be my map, a tapestry that will show me the road
Arriving at my home and destiny , measuring not the steps on
This journey within our life's purpose and intention...
These steps are my mental thoughts and how I proceed
From moment to moment placing firmly my foot
On the grounded knowledge life has gifted me with
Releasing all burdens and feeling the joy of
Anticipating the arrival of accolades sweetly
Surrendering my will to a higher plan...
Running with the wind and becoming it
Shining illuminated celestial stars lighting my way
Floating on clouds entering the eternal stairway
To heaven built with trial and error and lined
Crossing the illusive and unreal destination...
I have found the footsteps in the sand
And cross them one step at a time
One thought at a time joining me
With my maker and home...
