Dimensions of Fashion

watch the video

The urgency in fashion can be gauged with fast expanding fashion industry. People are willing to explore; they are liberally giving space to their body and mind.

With the exclusive blend of subtle serenity and the dynamic crave for design, the fashion designer holds the rainbow of colors and that facilitates him/her to design. Fashion is a passion which dresses our body to reflect our mind. Go anywhere; you would see the dazzling display of riotous color, with varied textures. Interestingly, if we look into the history and the pictorial remains of past, we would see the stark similarity in the construction of costumes and other accessories of dress, with that of today. May it be footwear; ornament, headgear or loose drape, one can see equanimity of symmetry in construing the body and soul as one. This stark similarity even after thousand years amazes me. It makes me ponder over the psyche of fashion. I certainly couldn’t see any complicity neither any duplicity in establishing a co-relation; nothing could distract or disturb the impressionable creations. There may be change in material but the core essence of fashion remained the same and that’s to dress up the body, to reflect the mind.

With mass exodus of population in the ancient times for greener pastures facilitated a fusion between varied cultures and races. The amalgamation of style, color, texture and fabric created a new breed of designers and they nurtured a style, to carve the demarcation of gender, hierarchy, royalty, clergy, rich, poor, peasant, artisans, newly married and many more. They drew lines and defined attires, they created the visuals of an entity and that’s how they left a legacy.

The legacy has its unique pattern to draft an impact over the turning events. It has its overwhelming presence over the minds which just refuse to yield to superfluous influence. Sociological, geographical, economical, psychological, biological and philosophical reason holds a considerable influence over the change in fashion. However, from the straight need to something very unusual change in fashion brings in sense of mysticism. The budding designers are refusing to ape the style and in their unyielding disposition, they are unleashing a surge of explosive trends with great urgency.

There is no doubt that over last few decades, the sensuality with blend of mysticism is retaining a commanding position in structuring the fashion. The delicacy of invasive indoctrination of the mind is so visible. The ease of sensuality in the dazzling aura of glamorous world is shaping a new world

The urgency in fashion can be gauged with fast expanding fashion industry. People are willing to explore; they are liberally giving space to their body and mind. They are willing to experiment; they are hungry. They are adding new dimensions of thoughts in fashion. They are making designers more restless and bold. In a prevailing fad, everything is short lived and designers are thinking ahead always and all the time. They are running against the time but they are not giving up.
