Strength & Grace

"Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will." Mahatma Gandhi

This day of darkness
Found me unprepared

My bag laying empty
Save for the weeping
And the ocean of fear
That suddenly engulfed
My being...

There in the world
Which was
Suddenly
Ablaze with
Cinnabar tongued sorrow

It licked the air
Dry
Of mellifluous hope

Leaving instead
The acid
Scent of
Total despair

From the womb
Of that night
I called out
To You

"Wake up Beloved"
I whispered

"I need you
now "

Take me in your
Resplendent hand
And fissure the darkness
With Your grace'

The darkness
Festered on and
Again and again
I cried out to you

Disappointed and left
Weary with doubt

Until I had finally
Learned
In this turbulent
Moment in
Time....

To let go...

There in the midst
Of this storm
My empty heart

Kindled
A fire and strength
All their own

Unbroken
Undefeated

Acceptance
Of
The sorrow

Gifted with
The one ray
OF TRUTH

SAVING GRACE...
