It all started with a dream. Once I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, Jessica-Taylor, I knew I didn't want her to grow up in the poverty home life that I was so familiar with. At age 19, being poor was all I had experienced, but I knew that there was a better life out there for me, if I just chose to go look for it. That old adage is true, seek and you shall find, because God lead me to education, income, and provision!
Now, as a thriving, single mother of my beautiful 14 year old, I can gladly say that my dream came true! It was hard in the beginning, but with determination and a whole lot of spunk, I made it through! I now own my own successful part-time home based business, work as a 3D Designer for a top engineering firm, invest in real estate, and raise my daughter in good ol’ San Antonio, Texas.
If you are just starting out as a single mother, I hope to encourage you and challenge you to choose to seek out a better life. The dream of having a better life will not transpire unless you go out and get it! It is free to dream as big as you want, but it will take consistent, hard work to make those dreams a reality.
Remember this, if you really want something, you will find a way to get it. NOTHING will hold you back! Financial stress, fear, blame, doubt...these words do not belong in the vocabulary of the victorious! The formula for success is ancient...Hard Work + Consistency + Time= RESULTS! To reduce the hard work and time of this equation...educate yourself, find great mentors, pray and listen to God, and ALWAYS engage in self development!
Keep yourself surrounded by those who look to lift you up, encourage, and challenge you to step out of your comfort zone. Steer clear of those who are broke, carry poverty mindsets, and who are set on losing. Speak 'life' into your life...and you will attract a winning personality, attitude, and positive results!
Now...let's do this! Start dreaming today...then go out and make it happen!
