OUR PROMISES OUR VOWS
Piercing the darkness stealthily
I remembered my past
Many disjointed moments, joining again in my thoughts
Perhaps it would be last.
Nothing has been changed since long
The only difference is my sweated uniform
I could feel the same breeze
Under the familiar sky
The Moon, The Star, I adore nature’s beauty without a scar.
Bushes, shadows, trees are still the same;
Cover for me now with a different name
I remembered my friends, my handshakes, my promises my vows
If I come back I would fulfill those
I never knew how long I walked I never knew how long I thought
I woke up with a cry
Bullet pierced through my thigh
Before I could drop on the floor
The bullet pierced through my chest once more
I realized I have been hit
I fired back to show my grit
They fired back but they missed
My strength gave up and fell down
I looked at The Moon, The Stars.
From my wound blood gushing out over the grass
Is this an end of many hand shakes, promises and vows?
Would it be forgotten for ever?
Dawn is breaking to its glory
Perhaps with a different story
Star vanishing with a dawn
Me too and I gave a last moan
