Summer Night Stroll

by Jack Bates (writer), Alameda, July 14, 2011

Path to Glory - Wooden Boardwalk in San Luis Obispo County, California.

A poem attempting to capture my mood on a night stroll

Along the beach winds a path
Strolling I breath in
The night’s ocean breeze
Slightly sexy taste of salt on the wind
Looking out at the sunset
On today’s horizon of limitless possibilities
I stroll on in to the darkness
Licking my lips
Already dreaming of tomorrow
I fade to black tonight

Jack, I actually got the visuals through your words. I'm really fond of poems and this one's in the list now :)

Thanks ladies for the feedback. I'm trying to push myself to write more poems. It is nice to know people like to read them :-)
