IT STARTED OUT AS A CALM PROTESTAll Images from: http://www.reuters.com/news

When the people of a country have had enough, and I mean "ENOUGH" they say "no more" to their

Government. The people of the Ex-Russian territory Ukraine have had enough. This is a story that is repeating ALL OVER EUROPE and the Middle East just now. Although it can be said "IT WON'T AFFECT ME" Let me tell you a new sense of "Freedom" has hit the people of the World. For Governments full of crooks and liars this is a message. 250 people have died and that is TRAGIC but every life lost is lost to fight for... Read More

PARIS, January 27—A high-level cross-party delegation of British parliamentarians from both Houses of Commons met today with the leader of the Iranian opposition to pursue a humanitarian issue that threatens the lives of thousands.

The meeting involved the British lawmakers and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), in the council’s headquarters in Auvers-sur-Oise north of Paris.

At issue was the plight of more than 3,000 Iranian dissidents in Iraq, who have been moved from their pervious safe haven to a site outside Baghdad and... Read More

In the Wildenstein family, women are not really lucky with inheritance. That is the least one could say when taking a look back to history of these uncommon art dealers’ family. For 10 years, Sylvia Roth struggle in court to get the inheritance her husband Daniel Wildenstein wished to give her. She was deceived by her in-laws who told her that the inheritance would come along with tremendous fiscal debts in France. The story was made up, but Sylvia believed it. Hence she was deceptively convinced not to take her share of the family’s fortune. When she realized she had been played on,... Read More

You've all, I imagine, seen the newsclips showing the French unions demonstrating their disapproval of government action by taking to the streets...but look behind the image and you'll find a disturbing reality.

In the post war political settlement of France, the social actors were defined as government, bosses and unions and these were accordingly represented on the bodies dealing with social policy....notably health, social security and pensions.

The unions, which grew from the struggle for decent conditions for workers, became accustomed to the exercise of power....and accustomed... Read More

The poster van carried the slogans: "In the UK illegally? Go home or face arrest." A second line on the advert claimed: "106 arrested in your area". It then encouraged illegal immigrants to text "home" to the number 78070.

The campaign attracted widespread criticism, including censure from the Business Secretary Vince Cable, who called it "stupid and offensive".

However, Downing Street insisted that it was working and that immigrants were volunteering to leave, although the Home Office did not provide figures.

The van travelled through... Read More

Barack Obama has seen fit to lecture us benighted Brits on the value of the European Union. I have only one observation: I do so wish that he would stick to his own Union and not ours. Does he not have troubles enough on his doorstep? Perhaps he might care for a few helpful tips on managing his own affairs? Would he welcome such a thing? I rather think not.

He's a bit worried, you see, by Prime Minister David Cameron’s proposed in out referendum on British membership of our less perfect Union. His administration has gone so far as to ‘warn’ (good word) our government against secession.... Read More

It was Hannah Arendt who coined the phrase ‘the banality of evil’ in reference Adolf Eichmann, a cog in the machine of the Holocaust. It’s rather a pity in a way because it really should have been invented specifically to describe Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian mass murderer who killed seventy-seven people in a hate-filled rampage last July

Hate-filled; is that right? Actually I’m not quite sure, not quite sure that this man is capable of any authentic emotion, not quite sure if he is able to understand anything beyond his own shallow and narcissistic fantasies. He was sentenced... Read More
